Common Returns With “A Beautiful Revolution (Pt 2)” Ft. Black Thought, PJ, & More

Once again effortlessly showcases his lyrical abilities on this album , After set fire to the mic with his L.A. Leakers freestyle, and now Common has shared his latest project, A Beautiful Revolution (Pt 2). He hasn’t ceased pursuing music for decades and his craft only gets better with time. The Chicago icon embarked on a mental health journey that he has shared with his fans, even writing a memoir where he details the triumphs and tragedies in his personal life.
Jessica Care Moore is opening the album’s intro with “Push Out The Noise” on a great poetry slam , At the end of the song she says “There’s no place like home” , listening to common is really feelin’ at home .
Common rewind back to his childhood on “A Chicago Kid” Feat. PJ , then it continues on an afro-funk beat with nigeran style with a little help from Seun Kuti & The Roots MC’s , Black Thought , I could imagine a mash-up with the late funk legend , James Brown screamin’ “Heyyyy…!!!” , “Good God!!!!” .
“Set It Free” track get’s a coolness vibe with PJ then continues with her on “Majesty (Where we Gonna Take It)” on an up-beat song that gets into your mind and get you motivated .
“Poetry” gets you into a blues vibes with guitar backgrounds reminds me the great & late guitarists , B.B King with features of Marcus King & Isaiah Sharkey .
“Saving Grace” is a prayer for god to save some grace on us as humans , that’s what i love ’bout common as person and rapper , on a recent Instagram live I gave a shout out to him and asked him if he’ll preform outside US and he says “yeah also to my brother from Israel I’ll do that for sure” , he’s appreciated here no doubt .
“Star Of The Gang” brings common as a great storyteller alongside PJ to be the star of the gang , is ’bout being fortunate of whateva you have in life .
“Imagine” features PJ and gets you feel like in a paradise , I can say that it’s the hip hop version and a commentary of our life within social media .
“Get It Right” features Raphael Saadiq  on a soulful way describes on us as person how to get things right , how can I make a change in me and the time we live in.
Morgen Parker signs the outro of the album on “Exclamation Point” .
