Soul Train

The Soul Train program hosted over the years from the 70’s to March 2006 artists from the Hip-Hop, R & B, Soul and Funk industries.

The best artists were: The Isley Brothers, Marvin Gaye, Stevie Wonder, Issac Hayes,

The Jacksons \ The Jackson 5, The Ojays and many other good performers.

The show’s host, Don Cornelius, would host a different artist every week and was also on a dance program in a row that the audience would join.

Don was also the musical director of the Shalamar ensemble, which included Jeffrey Daniels, Howard Hewitt and Caroline Griffey

By the way, who invented the MoonWalk was Jeffrey Daniels, who was Michael Jackson’s personal choreographer.

מנחה התוכנית דון קורניליוס היה מארח מדי שבוע אומן אחר ואף היה בתוכנית ריקוד בשורה שהקהל היה מצטרף אליו .

דון היה גם מנהלה המוזיקלי של ההרכב Shalamar שכללה את ג’פרי דניאלס , הווארד היויט וקרוליין גריפי

דרך אגב מי שהמציא את הMoonWalk היה ג’פרי דניאלס שלאותם ימים היה הכוריאוגרף האישי של מייקל ג’קסון .

Shalamar – A Night To Remember

The show was a sort of response to the black community, you could call it their own American Bandstand.

התוכנית עצמה הייתה מעין מענה לקהילה השחורה , אפשר לקרוא לזה American Bandstand  אבל שלהם .

Don Cornelius died in 2010, according to rumors of a shooting suicide in his apartment, we will miss.

In every program he always ended up with the sentence:

דון קורנליוס נפטר בשנת 2010 לפי השמועות מהתאבדות ירי שבדירתו , אכן יחסר לנו ….

בכל תוכנית תמיד הוא היה מסיים במשפט :
