PJ Morton – Watch The Sun – Album Review

The Deluxe Edition includes all songs + 2 new Songs that contains instrumentals to Part 1 of the album .

This album has a strong vibe like I’m just listenin’ to Stevie Wonder’s “Songs In The Key Of Life” or “Talking Book” but more modern version of our days.

It all started with Love’s Disease (Just Can’t Get Enough) that brings soulful vibe that says that he’s here to stay

Album continues as well on Biggest Mistake which brings a story of a man who almost lost his woman and he talks ’bout his biggest mistake he have ever made.

Then PJ explains it very clearly on Please Don’t Walk Away to make his woman to stay with him.

Watch The Sun as well as the entitled album brings some Reggae vibes with a little help from Chronixx.

My Peace features Byron “Mr .Talkbox” Chambers & Female R&B\Soul singer JoJo that samples Outkast’s SpottieOttieDopaliscious .

Be Like Water inspired by Bruce Lee’s moto , features one of my favorite and he’ll always be a legend to me the G.O.A.T , aka Stevie Wonder on the hook of the song & Nas bringin’ some bars to it as well.

So Lonely features rapper Wale which talks ’bout how sometimes we get lonely in our lives .

Then it follows to Still Believe  that cowritten & preformed by the lovely & soulful lady Jill Scott alongside amazin’ singer as well , talented one Alex Isley , which makes you still believe in love .

Lil’ Too Heavy brings some old school soul type of Motown vibe , reminds me like a Sam Cooke or Otis Reeding’s songs.

PJ clears it out on On My Waya special collabo with Debarge‘s own lead singer El DeBarge and they say that whenever you need , I’ll be on my way and always be there for the one you love.

The Part 1 of  finishes with The Better Benediction features Zacari Cortez , Gene Moore , Samoth , Tim Rogers & Darrell “Musiq City” Walls within’ a gospel vibes that everything ‘goin to get better , very riseful song .

Part 2 of the album bring the female version of gospel song The Better Benediction , followed by its name The Better Benediction Pt.2 that features Lisa Knowles-Smith, Le’Andria Johnson, Keke Wyatt, Kierra Sheard and Tasha Cobbs Leonard .

If It Wasn’t For You is a new ballad song that PJ wrote and thank to his special woman in his life for everything she’s done for him , that if it wasn’t for her, he wouldn’t do it .

PJ just like Stevie always talk ’bout Love , Peace & Companionship 💯
