Wiz Khalifa and Travis Barker join forces on the unorthodox banger, “Drums Drums Drums.”

Wiz Khalifa came through with a new Travis Barker-produced track on Friday (May 29th), aptly titled “Drums Drums Drums.” Following the release of his new project, The Saga of Wiz Khalifa, on 4/20, Wiz has been keeping it pretty hush this past month. However, he broke his musical silence with this latest drop alongside the Blink-182 drummer.

The track opens with a voice sounding suspiciously like Lil Wayne asking, “Travvy, where the drums at?” possibly serving as the inauguration of a new reoccuring tag for Travis. Gangsta Boo, who served as a co-writer on the song, contributes some vocals, repeating “drums” over and over while Wiz eases into his first verse. He then tunes up an octave or two on the chorus as he spits, “Say she wanna ride with us, then ride with us/Say she wanna roll with us, then roll with us/Say she wanna smoke with us, then smoke with us,” before delivering his signature stoner laugh. While, lyrically, it’s nothing to write home about, the track is certainly unique, with some fresh production on Travis’ part. Check out “Drums Drums Drums” and let us know what you think of this crossover.

Quotable Lyrics

Uh, seat in the back, supposed to be the front
Say, “It’s too loud,” still burnin’ up
Why you all in my face? I don’t give a f*ck
She ridin’ shotgun, tryna gimme some
