Soulja Boy is fresh off a win at the BET Social Awards for the Social Verified award. The rapper’s win was long-deserved as he’s undoubtedly been one of the biggest influences in the social media era of hip-hop. Since his emergence, he’s used platforms like YouTube and Soundcloud to his advantage. He’s been flooding the market, even when he wasn’t at the forefront of the rap game over the past few years. A week ago, he released a remix to “HML” with Tory Lanez. With his upcoming sophomore project Free Spirit a little over a month away, Khalid has offered up an additional look at the album with “My Bad.” Wasting little time in making an impression, the youthful prodigy takes to a swirling, yet delicate guitar arpeggio. As they prepare to release their upcoming project, they’ve recruited Raekwon for their new single, “Western World.” Their new single is their latest offering off of Cosmic Wind which is set to drop later this month. The song addresses isolation in a modern day while finding happiness on the dancefloor. Reason Shoots His Shot At Summer Walker Over J. Cole’s “Middle Child”

Reason promises new music coming soon with his “Middle Child” freestyle.

TDE is loaded with talent. The label announced this week that Zacari would be coming through with a new project imminently. Following that announcement, we took a deep dive into each artist on the Kendrick Lamar-led roster, reminding you of what they have going on this next year. Almost as if he peeped the feature, Reason decided to start off his 2019 campaign with a fire freestyle, rapping over one of the hottest songs of the year so far.

A few weeks ago, J. Cole dropped “Middle Child” and it picked up a lot of traction. Reason decided to give the beat a shot, spitting his flow over the instrumental and impressing us all in the process. There is a lot to unpack here. Let’s start with the fact that the TDE artist is promising new music coming very soon. He also notes that he recorded two dope tracks with Wale at the Dreamville sessions in Atlanta last month, hoping that J. Cole sends them his way. As if that weren’t enough, Reason also decides to shoot his shot at Summer Walker, saying that he doesn’t need a date or a like… just a follow. He also suggests a fair trade-off for her to consider.

We’ve got nothing but bars here. TDE fans, rejoice because you’ve got some new material. Hopefully, this is the start of a consistent string of new music from them.

It’s a circle of T’s as Trey Songz, Ty Dolla $ign, and Tory Lanez coalesce, with Shannon Rivera coming through for the break up the boy’s club. Taking to an airy synth pad, Trey sets it off with seduction on the mind. “Kissing everywhere till I find your spot,” he sings, detailing his game plan with a devilish grin. “I got more money than your boyfriend got.” Rivera comes through with the hook, while Tory Lanez delivers a melodic second verse, tucking the bars away in favor of a homespun croon.The consistently solid Ty Dolla $ign closes out the track, picking up where Trigga Trey left off. “Your man is a heathen, you know you don’t need him,” he sings, reminding listeners to watch their respective lady-friends, lest he move in for the swoop. “I’ma treat you right, lil baby.” Now, don’t get it twisted, he’s likely not referring to the Atlanta rapper.
