Queen Naija’s “Medicine” Reaches No. 1 On Adult R&B Songs Chart

Queen Naija’s “Medicine” rises in popularity.

This week, YouTuber-turned-rising star Queen Naija reached new heights with her breakout “Medicine” track, climbing to No. 1 on the Billboard Adult R&B Songs chart after a 6 percent gain in plays this week according to Nielsen Music. The track can be found on the singer’s self-titled EP, which debuted at No. 2 on the Top R&B Albums chart in July.“I am very grateful for all God is doing in my life,” Queen tells Billboard about the new accomplishment. “I am so humbled by the success of ‘Medicine’ and everything that’s happened up to this point has exceeded my expectations.”

This new movement also marks a record-breaking week for women in music, as it denotes the 27th straight week that women have held a No. 1 spot on the Adult R&B Songs chart, in either lead or featured roles. The last time this 27-week stretch happened was in 2005-06 when Vivian Green held on for two weeks with “Gotta Go Gotta Leave (Tired), before Alicia Keys‘ “Unbreakable” went No. 1 for 11 weeks and Mary J. Blige‘s “Be Without You” stretched for 14 weeks.

This new win also arrives in the midst of a controversy for another viral track of Queen Naija’s as she has been accused of swiping the melody found on her “Karma” track from a popular gospel song originally performed by Pastor John P. Kee. Kee alleges that Queen took the same melody found on his 2012 “Life & Favor (You Don’t Know My Story),” and according to tweets from Queen Naija, he has assumably moved forward with a formal lawsuit this week revolved around the similar hooks found on the songs.

H.E.R. In Disbelief Over 5 Grammy Nominations: “It’s Just A Beautiful Thing”

H.E.R. reeled in a nice set of Grammy nominations this year.

H.E.R. also known as Gabi Wilson got the best surprise of the year when her tour manager called her in for an early morning meeting only to reveal that she’s been nominated for five Grammy awards. “It took me a second to register. And I started crying and everybody was going crazy. We were all screaming and crying. It was a moment to be surrounded by my band and the people I love. To get that news, it was so much at one time,” Gabi told Billboard.The “Focus” singer is up for album of the year, best new artist, best R&B performance, best R&B song and best R&B album, telling the publication how the biggest surprise was for album of the year since her last tapes were just EPs.

“[…] I didn’t even drop an album,” she added. “It’s my project, it’s my two EPs together and it’s not even an album. It was literally a “It’s time for me to drop music. I finally realized who I was. Let me just see what happens” [kind of thing]. Then, two years later, a sold-out tour and five Grammy nominations.”

The 2018 Grammys will take place on February 10th in Los Angeles at the Staples Center.

Cardi B braved her first steps without Offset by ditching the flashy wedding band. With the smell of Grammynoms fresh on her breath, the BX rapper waltzed out of the courthouse with a positive result that morning, enough to inspire her stage performance later that evening.Last night, Cardi headlined the annual iHeartRadio Jingle Ball alongside Shawn Mendes, Camila Cabello, Calvin Harris, G-Eazy, Dua Lipa, Khalid, Normani, Alessia Cara, and Bebe Rexha, many of whom garnering 2019 Grammy noms of their own.

Cardi B showed out on the MSG stage sporting plenty of drip, but not the $550k ring, she has routinely worn during recent concert-outings, as part of the “power couple” mystique, she shared with Migos‘ member Offset. Contrary to expectations, Cardi B has kept her cool in the wake of the “Summer Bunni” threesome allegations, leading many to believe her romance with Offset, was largely embellished, even at the cost of bearing a child into this World.

50 Cent & Meek Mill Troll 6ix9ine’s Girlfriend For Her Matching Tattoo

They’re not buying her sudden loyalty.

Tekashi 6ix9ine will be simmering in prison until fall 2019 and his girl Jade inked her collarbone in his honor. She got a matching “69” tattoo in what appears to be a display of loyalty for the rapper. Some people are questioning her decision considering the seemingly short timeframe within which such commitment was developed. 50 Cent and Meek Mill are among those who have expressed their skepticism online.50 Cent reposted one of the photos of the freshly-tatted woman, attaching his opinion in his caption: “She was only with Danny for 5 days before the F.E.D.S came. Is it LOVE or the clout? run charity walk. LOL?”

Meek Mill also chimed in by commenting on the original post: “Oh you clout chasing chasing? Y’all girls be crazy.” Jade responded to Meek, asserting her genuine affection for Tekashi: ” This ain’t no clout Chase this certified!”

Tekashi 6ix9ine had been showing off his new boo on social media last month. While their relationship may have started long before the “STOOPID” rapper introduced Jade’s booty to the interwebs, the matching tattoo still comes off as an extravagant gesture. Then again, a woman who is a complete stranger to 6ix9ine appeared to pull a similar stunt back in August. The mark of the Dummy Boy might become a trend after all.

Beyonce & Jay-Z Had One Of 2018’s Highest-Grossing Tours With $250M

As the year-end tallies begin to roll in, it should come as no surprise that Jay-Z and Beyonce are topping lists in a span in which they dropped off a joint album and took their On The Run tour back on the road. This year, The Carters’ On The Run II Tour finished off with $253.5 million as reported by Billboard Boxscore.They officially wrapped up the full run in October in Seattle in a 48-date stadium trek that included 18 shows in Europe, including a two-night stint at London Stadium worth $11 million with over 125,000 tickets sold. After dropping their Everything Is Love joint album a few dates in, they debuted that “APESHIT” banger in Paris before coming back home for 30 North American shows. Their highest-earning stretch would be from their appearance in Atlanta at the Mercedes Benz Stadium where they racked up $14.1 million.

It marks an increase of 132 percent over the original On The Run Tour, which amassed $109.6 million in 2014. That year OTR was named eighth on the Billboard Top Tours list while this year, OTR II clocks in at No. 3, only competing with Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran‘s respective runs.

Sheeran earns the top spot as he earns nearly half a billion with a staggering figure of $429,491,502 on a tour that he still hasn’t completed for his two-year Divide run, becoming only the sixth tour run to gross more than $300 million in one year. The tour originally kicked off in March 2017 and has a total of 14 legs. After wrapping up his most recent leg in North America last month, he will begin Leg 11 in Latin America in February before finally bringing things to a close in August of next year.

Taylor Swift’s Reputation Tour earns her No. 2 with a note of $315.3 million while the rest of the top 5 tours are rounded out by Bruno Mars at fourth with $237.8 million and P!nk who closes out with $180.4 million.

Ariana Grande Drops Second “Thank U, Next” Behind-The-Scenes Video

Ariana gives fans a glimpse into the creative process, complete with a Kim Kardashian cameo.

In the second installment of “thank u, next” behind the scenes series, Ariana Grande fans are drawn further into her world.The video begins on a “13 Going On 30” inspired set with cast members informing audiences of their roles. Shortly after, the music video’s director, Hannah Lux Davis, can be seen explaining the significance of certain details. The music video has been lauded for its intelligent references to popular movies of the past including Mean Girls, Bring It On and Legally Blonde. Keen observers will notice that the dollhouse contains miniature replicas of every room Grande is captured in throughout the video. Lux Davis went on to explain why they had chosen to pay homage to the aforementioned movies saying, “they each feature a relationship that really shook the main character and really propelled them into becoming a better version of themselves.” She furthered her explanation by pointing out that in each film, “a breakup was a catalyst moment for each of these characters to really find themselves and be a better version of themselves.”

Later in the behind-the-scenes clip, Grande comments on her trauma in light of her success. Grande’s friend and fellow “Victorious” alum Liz Giles shares an anecdote about their Nickelodeon days, and even Kim Kardashian West also makes an appearance via facetime.

Tierra Whack has caught the attention of both music lovers and industry professionals alike in 2018. The artist snagged her first Grammy Nomination for her “MUMBO JUMBO” music video and delivered a critically acclaimed debut album, Whack World. Fellow artist Anderson .Paak took notice of her talents and praised the Philly native during a recent interview.Andy, who was present at the Billboard Women In Music award ceremony on December 6, compared the rising star to one of Hip Hop’s luminaries.”Tierra Whack, that’s just like such a talent, man, and so smart at how she did it and just really creative in how she did it,” he confessed. “I feel like she’s like the new Missy (Elliot) almost and she’s a Philly native, my pop’s from Philly, just so creative in every aspect. “The comparison is fitting when considering both female emcees’ esthetic and creative abilities. Missy Elliot’s take on Afrofuturism can be found in Tierra Whack’s video clips, steeped in the newcomer’s own swagger. They both wield the ability to write humorous and relatable lyrics while delivering the goods through singing and bar spitting.

Tory Lanez Earns The T-Pain Co-Sign For His New “I’m Sprung” Sample

It’s been long reported, T-Pain was holding unreleased tracks with Gucci Mane, Tory Lanez and countless other A-list performers, but yesterday marked the first somebody other than himself, bolstered those claims. Yesterday evening, Tory Lanez posted an Instagram video showing him pal’ing out with T-Pain with one purpose in mind: to announce (by name) a new song off his forthcoming Chixtape 5 project.

According to the Torontonian, the song he’s referring to incorporates an all-important sample from T-Pain’s 2015 hit “I’m Sprung.” This isn’t the first time Tory Lanez added a seminal record to his sample board. The most notable exception occurred in 2016 when he borrowed from Tanto Metro and Devonte’s “Everyone Falls in Love” in penning his breakout hit “LUV.” But in this case, Tory Lanez sought approval before going forward. T-Pain’s reaction was priceless. “Hardbody,” he yells in the extended clip following the announcement. “Oh my God, somebody get CSI: Miami on the phone. There’s a body on the street.”

For those who don’t know, “I’m Sprung” was the song that broke the camel’s back for T-Pain. DJ Felli Fel, currently with Power 106 in LA, is largely credited with getting the song into rotation. As of this writing, Chixtape 5 is in the production phase. Keep it locked for more intel, when it becomes available.

Pattie LaBelle Calls Ariana Grande A “White Black Girl” & Black Twitter Loses It

Patti LaBelle is outrageous. The diva is known for her surprising antics onstage and her tendency for being extra at all times. The public loves her for that. Some of her fans were left disappointed by her appearance at Billboard’s Women In Music ceremony, however. When presenting Ariana Grade, the Labelle used an interesting term to describe the pop star.She started with the type of praise for Grande’s voice, unsurprising compliments.“I’m thrilled to be among so many wonderful friends to present this year’s ultimate honor to Billboard’s Woman of the Year. A young woman who has it all. She’s soulful, strong, and she’s just sensational. She’s all that and a bag of chips. She’s a giant talent who sings from the heart, as I learned when we sang together at the White House for President Obama and Mrs. Obama. She tore it down. Honestly, she can sing her face off.”Then things turned awkward.

“She asked me some questions one time. Remember when we did the President’s stuff? And you said, ‘Patti, what should I do?’ I said sing like that little white/Black girl that you are. She got soul like a mug!” she said to Arianna, “My son told me not to say that, but it’s true.”

Offset Shrugs At His Own Marital Advice: “N****s Ain’t Slick”

Offset speaks out after keeping his tail on layaway.

Offset might be a victim of his own demise, but he sure as hell isn’t going to shoulder the blame all by himself. You’re caught up with the story. Cardi B sends out a press release confirming their split, and before you know it, all the dominoes come falling down one after the other, prompting no reaction whatsoever from Offset. To be fair, there wasn’t much he could say – he was caught dead in his tracks with the cheat mode settings on full blast. So why is Offset throwing the rest of the groomsmen under the bus, instead of accepting his faults?

Offset aired the words “N****s Ain’t Slick” on his Instagram storyboard, perhaps as a way of admitting defeat. Although he left some room for interpretation, I can’t “unsee” an element of self-sabotage in his humor. Let that be a lesson to the groomsmen who lie ahead in the order: “you’re never too smart to weasel your way out of a Dragnet.”

Whether or not Offset chooses to show remorse in the public discourse, the split does appear to have its perks too. For one, Offset is free to sleep around “willy-nilly” like a rabbit on the moon – and secondly, there’s an unsubstantiated rumor circulating the Web that Offset is on the “right side” of a prenuptial agreement worth up to $50 million.

Every year, we enter the same discussion over who got snubbed by the Grammys, and their crooked membership committee. Even if we disagree in principle, on who was unjustly cut from the list, we all to seem to agree that something “ain’t right.” When it comes to Grammy-bashing, those who speak the loudest are often those with less at stake. One person I suspect, who airs on the side of caution more often than not, is QC’s Pierre “Pee” Thomas. But even he, with all his connections at Universal, felt the need to let off some steam. His take: the Grammys’ snobbery is getting out of hand.Pierre “Pee” Thomas, one half of the executive order at Quality Control, manages a stable of big-name artists, including Migos, through an arrangement with Universal Music. His IG message in ’19 was rather simple: “Grammys Robbed Migos of a nomination. We Still Hustling Thou.” And thought the basis of Pee’s argument is complicated by inconclusiveness, we can’t help but agree with him, on the grounds that Grammy criteria is pretty esoteric. You could argue, the selection committee is basically guilty of making it up as they go along. Realistically-speaking, do you think Migos deserved a nomination in 2018? Hit us with your thoughts.

Travis Scott Gains The Legal Papers To Exterminate “Astroworld” Bootleggers

Bootleggers better tighten up!

The road to an unmitigated Astroworld experience is now more possible than ever, but it might cost you an arm and a leg. According to new legal documents obtained by TMZ, Travis Scott has been granted legal jurisdiction to kill off any bootleggers hawking his “one-of-a-kind” Astroworld merchandise. The court order will serve towards the next four dates on his tour: those in Denver, Oakland, Phoenix, and L.A.Thanks to the court order, Travis will have the muscle of law enforcement on is side. Police officers in all four cities will be tasked with guarding the perimeter of each venue to ensure no unwanted kiosks are being set up. Preventative action of this kind isn’t completely unprecedented. Not too long ago, Jay-Z and Beyoncewere granted a similar injunction for a show on the OTR II tour.

News that Travis Scott is tightening up the perimeter at his concert comes on the heels of another major announcement. Just this week, rapper Trippie Redd called it quits as one of Travis’ opening acts after finding it difficult to work around Astroworld’s elaborate stage setup. That leaves Gunna and Sheck Wes with one less person to worry about in the opening frame.

Travis Scott, Gunna, & More Announced For 2019 WOO HAH! Festival

The first acts have been announced for the European festival.

It might not feel like it yet but festival season is rapidly approaching. Before you know it, we’ll all be prancing around in the sun as we jet between stages to catch our favorite artists. This week, several festival organizers have made their initial line-up announcements, which makes everything feel that much closer. Whether you’re a Coachella or Rolling Loud lover, you may want to spend some time overseas this summer to get your fix of travelling. Why not plan your trip around some of the best festivals in Europe? Barcelona’s Primavera festival is bringing Cardi B, Pusha-T and Future to the main stage and now, we’ve got the first look at WOO HAH!’s 2019 lineup.

The Netherlands festival is a European favorite as the July mainstay has just announced the first batch of names that will be performing. The extremely busy Travis Scott has added another headlining gig to his plate, standing at the top of the card once again for WOO HAH! Following closely are America’s favorite boyband Brockhampton, Rae Sremmurd, and Skepta. On the undercard, names like Gunna, Sheck Wes, and $uicideboy$ will all be bringing extraordinary energy to their sets.

More names will follow soon but for now, this is the primary list of performers at the Netherlands show. The festival will span from July 12-14 and tickets will go on sale here on December 15.

DJ Khaled Teases Bryson Tiller Feature For “Father Of Asahd”

“Father of Ashad” still does not have a release date.

Many of us expected DJ Khaled to release his new album in the summer but, as we all know now, that never ended up happening. It’s still unclear when we can expect the mega-producer to come through with his next body of work as it feels like it may never arrive. Khaled is busy raising his son and appreciating life, often showing footage of himself in the studio but rarely sharing the end product. We’re being a little harsh – he’s released tons of music in the past. It just feels a little confusing that his “Top Off” collaboration with The Carters and Future would fizzle out when it was likely meant to create hype for the album. Regardless, a new (and familiar) name has just been added to the Father of Asahd shortlist.

We’re expecting more of what Khaled does best when the project comes out: a major compilation of some of the most talented artists in the world. Now, it’s almost certain that Bryson Tiller will be gracing the tracklist as the two have posted up during a studio session. In the past, Tiller has worked with the Miami icon a few times so it only makes sense that they would link up again.

Whenever Father of Asahd arrives, we’re likely in for a few dream collaborations. Perhaps Tiller will be part of a larger end product?

Juelz Santana, Jim Jones, and Freekey Zekey paid a visit to the GQ offices to show off some of their favourite accessories for the reoccurring On The Rocks segment. The trio is collectively known as Dipset and are rightfully responsible for tracks like the “Dipset Anthem,” “We Fly High,” “Oh Boy” and many more.Before the group kicked off showing fans their blinged out collection, they explained where their name derived from. “Diplomats was just us moving and grooving and then one day we just started a chant talking about we Harlem war diplomats,” Jim Jones said, as seen in the video below. The “legendary” Diplomats bird logo came from the American dollar bill and how they are being all about the dollar.Juelz Santana was first up to show off his $35K watches, and the round-the-table show and tell also saw some of the guys showing off their engagement rings. Snoop Dogg To Kevin Hart: “Tell The Academy To Suck A D**k Or Die Trying”

Within a week, Kevin Hart’s life-long dream to host the Oscar’s was shot down after old homophobic tweets surfaced. The comedian stepped down from his hosting duties earlier today after finally apologized (kinda) to the LGBTQ+ community. His decision to not host the Oscar’s was met with mixed reception; some people believed that he shouldn’t have that platform while others agreed with Hart’s initial sentiment that people were being too sensitive. Snoop Doggshould be grouped in with the latter. The rapper took to Instagram to publicly give some words of wisdom to Hart.

“Don’t trip, that ain’t our kind of shit anyways. Oscars? Yeah right, come do the BET Awards, cuh. Or Soul Train,” he said. “They don’t care. You a comedian, crackin’ jokes… Really? Y’all want me to host it now? Nah I don’t think so. I got shit to do.”

Snoop Dogg then gave Kevin Hart some advice on how to deal with his situation with the Academy.

He recently hopped on songs with both Lil Pump and Tekashi 6ix9ine, he was a big part of Chief Keef‘s commercial exposure, he collaborated with the controversial yet talented XXXTentacion, he elevated Kid Cudi years back when he signed him to G.O.O.D. Music, and the list goes on and on. Now, Kanye has been spotted with another young artist who is blowing up fast.YNW Melly posted a picture with Kanye West to his Instagram on Wednesday. The photo sparked rumors that the two are working together in the studio. The picture doesn’t appear to be taken in a studio, but speculative fans want a collaboration from the two artists so bad that they might wish it into existence. Melly simply titled the picture with goat, heart, and fire emojis, which gives no explanation about the circumstances of how the two met up. After the viral success of “Murder On My Mind,” and this recent Kanye West meet up, we’re sure that Melly is going to have a big 2019.

Anderson .Paak & Alessia Cara Play A Hilarious Game Of Charades With Jimmy Fallon

The game wasn’t even close.

Anderson .Paak is on a hellacious New York grind right now. A native New Yorker would be proud to see the amount of work he’s put in these past 36 hours. .Paak stopped by Hot 97 to chop it up with Ebro, dropped by The Daily Show with Trevor Noah to perform “Anywhere,” and sat down for an interview on 105.1’s The Breakfast Club. After all off that, .Paak maneuvered through the New York streets to join Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show. .Paak joined Alessia Cara and Saoirse Ronan for a game of charades which was full of laughs.

.Paak teamed up with Cara, and Fallon teamed up with Ronan. Fallon went up first, picking “Baby Got Back” off the random arrangement of cards. Ronan guesses this one pretty easily as it only took minimal clues to get the point across. Cara goes next and gets a much harder pick. .Paak is still able to guess “Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles” quite smoothly after Cara only gives him ninja clues. The game only remains tied for the first round though. Jimmy and Ronan effortlessly sweep the next two rounds, and .Paak jokingly tries to flip the couch in frustration. Anderson .Paak Performs “Anywhere” On “The Daily Show With Trevor Noah”

Anderson .Paak is on a New York run. He stopped by The Breakfast Club and chopped it up with Ebro over at Hot 97. While in the Big Apple, .Paak also dropped by The Daily Show with Trevor Noah to continue the Oxnard promo run. .Paak’s Dr. Dre guided third solo album has been making big waves around the industry. It’s cool seeing .Pakk doing interviews and blowing up on a commercial level. Out here in Los Angeles, .Paak has been grinding away for years. Some of his day one fans feel like Oxnard is underwhelming for .Paak’s standards, something our review points out. Still, the project is dope, and “Anywhere” is one of the best songs on the album. .Paak performed the banger, sans Snoop Dogg, during his Daily Show stop.

J.I.D has some big plans for 2019. Although he just dropped his sophomore album DiCaprio 2 less than a month ago, J.I.D has no plans of slowing down. The Dreamville signee recently stopped by Beats 1 Radio to discuss his new album, signing with J. Cole over Quality Control, working with No I.D on a new project, and more.“I was not sure. When Cole reached out and was like, ‘Yo, just hold off for a second.’ I was not for it,” he explained of his signing to Dreamville. “I was like, ‘Bro, this is now, you know what I’m saying? Offset’s Alleged Mistress Summer Bunni Tearfully Apologizes To Cardi B

The woman who allegedly came in between Cardi B and Offset’s relationship speaks.

Cardi B and Offset have called it quits after fifteen months of marriage. Although Cardi B stated that she and Offset aren’t on bad terms, reports claimed the reason for their split was because of the Migos‘ rapper’s trifling ways. Offset allegedly attempted to organize a threesome with Cuban Doll and another woman named Summer Bunni. Although neither Cardi or Offset revealed that their split was due to the cheating allegations, Summer Bunni has dished out an apology for coming in between their love.

Summer Bunni feels horrendous about the break-up between Cardi B and Offset. She issued an apology to hip-hop’s former power couple shortly after news broke that they split. While speaking to TMZ, Bunni revealed that she hasn’t “dealt with Offset since he had his baby” and “didn’t know how serious the marriage was” before issuing an apology to Cardi B for her role in their split.

“I feel ashamed,” she said. “Just coming from me, to Cardi b and like, to her fans, to her family, to her situation, these were never my intentions and I never wanted to break up a happy home or being the cause of someone just saying, like, ‘fuck it,’ to get a divorce or anything.”

She revealed that she hasn’t spoken to Cardi B yet, but she hopes that the “I Like It” rapper and her ex-husband can reconcile in the future.

Nicki Minaj & Drake No Longer Follow Each Other On Instagram

Someone who possibly has a little more time on their hands than the rest of us has discovered that Nicki Minaj and Drake are no longer following each other on Instagram. The two came up in the game together in Young Money, and are the two most successful Lil Wayne signees. After exploding onto the scene in 2009-2009, Nicki and Drake both reached the pinnacle of pop fame in record time. While Drake was boasting accolades such as collaborating with Eminem and Jay-Z during the early stages of his career, Minaj was blessed with a judges chair on American Idol. As their fame grew, it seemed like Nicki and Drake were drifting apart. On “Tuscan Leather” Drake infamously rapped, “Not even talkin’ to Nicki, communication is breaking.”

Now, it appears the two have stopped following each other. Speculative fans belive it may have something to do with the fact Drake and Meek Mill have made up. The two friends turned enemies, turned friends again, pushed their beef aside and collaborated for the song “Going Bad.” Cardi B is also featured on Meek’s new album, which many believe didn’t go over well with Nicki. Do you think Nicki and Drake had a falling out because of Meek? Or is their apparent unfollowing of each other just an oversight on both their parts? The latter seems unlikely.

Gucci Mane and Kevin Gates took over the Jimmy Kimmel Live! stage for a performance of their single, “I’m Not Goin’” off of Gucci’s Evil Genius album. The track was released in mid-November and produced by Murda Beatz who also produced Gucci’s upcoming collaboration with Lil Skies, “Mad Russian.”

The two rappers shared a glimpse of the first time they met on social media back in June which seemingly took place on the set of the “I’m Not Goin” video shoot. T-Pain Files $1M Lawsuit Against Former Personal Manager: Report

T-Pain accuses his former manager of illegally taking commissions.

T-Pain hit his former management company, Chase Entertainment Corporation with a lawsuit after accusing them of stealing money from him over the years, The Blast reports. The singer alleges that the company owes him one million dollars.

T-Pain is accusing Chase Entertainment Corporation of illegally taking commissions over the years. The singer explained that he signed a deal with the company in 2005 and renewed the contract for an additional five years in 2009. Chase Entertainment agreed to serve as T-Pain’s personal manager and talent agent for 20% commission of his recordings and endorsements. T-Pain argues that he’s been paying them their rightful commissions on time over the past few years. However, he claims he recently discovered Chase Entertainment wasn’t actually a licensed agency.

In documents, T-Pain said that over the years, “a relationship developed in which Plaintiff placed his full faith and trust” in Chase Entertainment Corporation who “promised to protect him and advise his career decisions.”

Pain claims that he fired his management in 2014. Since then, he said that he demanded that they stop interfering with any of his business. Additionally, he accuses the company of not handing over the money they made off of his music career.

Pain alleges the former manager of not paying for the expenses they were required to cover, failing to account for all the money brought in and failing to provide the accounting of his finances.

Pain accuses Chase of taking money illegally from commissions without the proper talent license as well as for allegedly “concealing from Plaintiff the true nature and details of the financial agreements related to his music career, including the income truly earned by him from his public performances and the necessary and proper expenses occurred in connection with same and marketing monies received by Defendant on behalf of Plaintiff’s career.”

Pain is demanding $1M in damages and to be given back the commissions he paid out since 2005.

Photos then showed that Cardi was in Miami on Monday twerking for a music video, which made things worse.TMZ recently caught up with Real Housewives of Atlanta star Phaedra Parks and asked for her attorney opinion on Cardi’s situation. Phaedra’s advice was for Cardi to simply get her ass to court before it gets worse.”That might not be the best idea,” Phaedra said of Cardi’s twerking activities instead of court. ” […] Just go to court, just handle it and be done with it. We’re not gonna lie, he’s got some pretty janky toes. Broner was showing off his new pedicure but ended up getting clowned in the comment section before 50 hopped on the bandwagon. This isn’t the first time Curtis has gone after a boxer – just think back to all the times he’s tried to ruin Floyd Mayweather’s reputation. This time, he’s ragging on Adrien Broner, telling him he should put a pair of shoes on. “You gotta wear sneakers when you do road work,” wrote Fiddy.

Pharrell Channels A Pharaoh As He Steps Out On The Chanel Runway

The man who doesn’t age, also known as Pharrell, was one of the lovely models to strut down the Chanel runway last night in New York for Chanel’s 2018 Metier d’Art.To be honest, it’s about time the legendary music maker hit the cat walk. After Kid Cudi, Playboi Carti, Steve Lacy, Theophilus London, Dev Hynes, A$AP Nast and Octavian walked Virgil Abloh’s Louis Vuitton debut, it sparked more on the idea that not just models can model, as well.

Pharell came out in an all gold outfit fit with boots, expressive pants, and a rhinestone-mosaic collar, as well as some Cleopatra eyeliner. The Chanel collaboration is nothing new as the “Frontin” singer was previously the first man to model one of their handbags a few years back, linked for an Adidas collab and even designed a capsule collection set to drop next year.

While it’s easy to refer to Tory Lanez as somebody who is constantly overlooked, he’s proven himself to be at the top of his game this year. He’s not going anywhere and we all know it. Both his albums in 2018 were great and he’s potentially heading toward another strong campaign in 2019. Tory may not be the first artist you think of who hails from Toronto – Drake takes that honor – but there is no competition between the two. While they once were at each other’s throats, the beef has been squashed and the city is united. Much like his OVO counterpart, Tory is an international superstar, putting on shows around the globe. He was recently in the U.K, where Stefflon Don built much of her success. The two have collaborated on the “Senseless” remix and now, they’re getting pretty close on Instagram.

Stefflon has been romantically linked to Drake in the last few weeks and while they may just be trolling, Tory seems to be pretty attracted to the rapper himself. They posed for their Instagram fans as Tory suggestively got close to Steff’s bust, sticking his tongue out. Tory recently posted similar shots with Joseline Hernandez, who shut down dating rumors after the fact. Lanez is likely just fooling around with his peers again.

Pusha T Speaks On Retirement & The New Generation Of Hip Hop

The youngins have taught him a lot.

Pusha T has been grinding for a quarter century, building on the foundation he laid as part of Clipse. The rapper, who is now 41 years old, still has a lot of plans for the future, including the curation of a mixtape featuring up and coming rappers. During a recent interview, Pusha spoke about the new generation of Hip Hop and how he perceives himself within the current era of the genre.He has no plans to retire as of yet. From his perspective as a veteran emcee, the run only ends once the spark for creativity is lost.”I don’t think lyric-driven hip-hop goes out of style. I think that stays around forever, and then I feel like you retire when you’re out of the mix of it and out of the culture and lifestyle of it. When you start not caring about hip-hop aesthetics and just being first and competing, then you supposed to be like, alright cool, I’m out. But until then, I still know what’s fresh to put on and so on and so forth.”

While maintaining his status on the rap scene, Pusha is also glad to make way for new artists. He even shared some of the lessons he has learned from this younger generation.

“I think the greatest lesson for me and the position I’m in right now is opening up these corporate opportunities. They do everything themselves. They’re shooting their own videos, recording themselves. They’re writing, producing, and recording themselves. They’re damn near engineering. One of the girls, [Nita Jonez], she was like, ‘Yeah, I just be knocking little stuff out while I’m at the crib.’ I’m like, I don’t even do that. I don’t even know how to finesse all that. But they’re so self-sufficient.”

He admits that his creative process might actually benefit from their rule-breaking style.

“They’re such free spirits. They don’t even record how I do. I come in a with a new notepad, pen, and I write like that. I have to see it. It helps me memorize it. They come in and run straight to the mic and just be who they are. And they find themselves through it all. Not everybody; there were some other writers in there, like, Hass and Tyler. Tyler [is] so good at it. It comes out just that precise or damn near close. And then he’ll go and chop it up, make it right a little bit. But they just have that unorthodox attack in the studio. I’m more like, I want to sit down, chill… I don’t even like being in the studio that long. I probably write at home, then I’ll come here and figure out the rest. It’s a very formatted type of thing. And some of the spontaneity and some of the energy probably gets lost in my way because they come in and vibe immediately. Things that may just happen on the spur of the moment, they catch it. When I come in, it’s just all there. Either I’ve written it already or I’m writing it and that’s just what it is. I may lose an adlib. I may lose something that’s quirky in a song that just happens that probably won’t happen for me, but they’ll catch every time.”

Cardi B Eating Crab Legs Is The New “ASMR” Video Jumpoff

In light of all the “divorce” hoopla, Cardi B‘s crab leg video from a few days ago has taken on new life. In case you missed it, Cardi B posted a video on Instagram she ate pasta and crab leg entree in the most genteel manner possible. Sucking out the crab meat out of a hollow carcass is hardly the easiest thing to do with grace, and Cardi B manages to keep the mess at a minimum, all without a bib. She does it in a white tunic no less.

Cardi B and ASMR fans alike have taken to the video, all agree there is something deeply satisfying about watching her go about the steps with maximum efficiency. First, she snaps the legs into two manageable parts, tossing one back into her bag, a receptacle that doubles as a garbage deposit. You can tell she’s done this before.

Next, she dips the crab leg in horseradish, sprinkles lemon, and readies her first bite/suction in one fluid motion. Her video post captioned “Good Veneers” will no doubt draw contempt from her dentist, whom she has quoted in the past (“Got a bag and fixed my teeth”). Cardi showed very little restraint the very next day, going on Instagram live with the second plate of crab legs in as many days. Offset Comments On Cardi B Divorce: “Y’all Won”

Offset may be blaming the fans for his split with Cardi B.

When Cardi B calmly announced that she and Offset are breaking up, her fanbase was wildly confused. Some decided to support her in what must be a tough time. Others questioned the validity of the split. With Offset‘s album arriving next week, one thing is for sure: people will be tuning in. Will he address the breakup in a song? Will he try and get back with his wife? Only time will tell. For now, we can only base our opinions on what each artist has said about the situation. Cardi was well-spoken when she told the world that they still love each other deeply, but that things just weren’t working out. Offset came through via the comment section to voice his own take, partly transferring the blame on the fans.

“Y’all won,” wrote the Migos member in direct response to the video. Offset is yet to address the breakup in his own post on social media. This was quite the news to wake up to. Last night, Cardi B shocked all her fans by announcing that she and Offset are getting a divorce, calmly saying that the two no longer feel love for one another. It was quite the declaration and many are confused about the legitimacy of it all. On one side, we’re inclined to believe everything Cardi said in her video. After all, the information is coming directly from her mouth. There are no middlemen to dilute the content. On the other hand, Offset has an album coming out next week and this could just be a ploy to boost sales. That would be a shame but it’s what some fans are leaning towards.

Regardless of what’s real and what’s false, it is still sad to hear the news of Cardi B and Offset heading to Splitsville. The two appeared to share a close bond, which now seems to have been devalued through her recorded message. Just the other day, Offset was hinting at a collaborative album with his wife and now, they’re breaking up… Something seems off and fans are reflecting the same level of perplexion I’m currently experiencing.

The destination festival has become a necessity for music lovers. Lollapalooza expanded greatly since its inception in the 90’s. It began as a tour around the US, before expanding to South America. Brazil, Chile, and Argentia have hosted the massive music festival for years. Once the festival was changed from a tour to a weekend destination event, expansion over to Europe began. Germany and France were the first to host a Lollapalooza, and now Sweden will join them. As reported by Billboard, Lollapalooza will kick off in Stockholm on June 28 and 29.The line up for the first Lollapalooza in Scandinavia includes Travis Scott, Brockhampton, Lana Del Rey, Foo Fighters, HOV1, The Hives, Alan Walker, The Hellacopters, Norlie & KKV, Mike Perry, Halestorm, Bassjackers, Kungs, Loud Luxury, Junior Brielle, and more. The festival has always been known for its diverse lineup. It was started by Jane’s Addiction singer Perry Farrell. The group was an indie rock back, but their festival grew to encompass artists from all genres and all walks of life. General admission tickets go on sale Wednesday (December 5) here.

Drake’s “God’s Plan” Earns Billboard’s Top Song Honors In 2018

Drake had a torpid year to start but by year’s end, he’s found a way to patch things up. Billboard just announced that “God’s Plan” will end the year in the insurmountable top spot on the Hot 100. Drake’s prophetic song did enough to supplant Ed Sheeran‘s “Perfect” with a late stretch drive, with Bebe Rexha, Camila Cabello, and Post Malone slotting in 3rd-4th-5th to round out the winner’s circle.

Even though Drake’s Scorpion album is a divisive effort to many, his cumulative work this year landed him top honors as Billboard’s Artist of the Year, in their year-end “stat-driven” poll. “In My Feelings” was the other Scorpion standout to rank high in the year-end polls, slotting in at 9 on the Hot 100. “In My Feelings” was understandably a bigger draw on social media, but even that couldn’t make up the ground “God’s Plan” would sustain over 12-months with a 6-month headstart, no easy feat.

We’ve since learned that “God’s Plan” was indeed a marketing hoax from the start. Drake met with Shebib and their confidantes to discuss Scorpion’s release strategy, several months ahead of schedule. The decision was then taken to give “God’s Plan” budgetary allocation it so deserved, after passing a tough litmus test on social media with flying colors.

Mac Miller’s Family Seeks To Know Exactly What He Left Behind: Report

Mac Miller’s family requests the judge appoint a probate referee to appraise the rapper’s estate.

The death of Mac Miller was one of the most unexpected and tragic death in hip-hop this year. The rapper was found dead in his California home in September due to a lethal combination of cocaine and fentanyl. The rapper’s attorney was appointed as the personal rep for his estate in October while his parents and brother were listed as trustees. However, Mac’s unexpected death left his family with the responsibility of finding out exactly what he left behind.

According to court documents obtained by the Blast, Mac Miller’s family recently requested the judge appoint a probate referee to appraise the rapper’s assets left with his estate including personal property, cash, and real estate. The information pertaining to Mac’s worth is scarce. The rapper’s estate hasn’t been able to narrow down exactly how much money Mac left behind. They’re also looking to find out the value of his royalties as well as the worth of his name and likeness.

The probate referee will be able to determine an estimation of the future worth of Mac’s royalties from music. Once the family receives the appraisal of Mac’s estate, they’ll be able to figure out which beneficiaries in his trust will receive which include his brother and parents. The rapper’s attorney, who was dubbed the personal rep for his estate, was appointed in 2013 when Mac set up a trust.

Since the model’s untimely death, Diddy has vowed to love and support his children with even greater fervor. He gave his following a glimpse of his day-to-day life through a series of clips.The father of four (plus one) spoke about the evolution of his role as a father in videos he uploaded to social media. In the first clip, the seemingly tired entertainer offered gratitude.“Today the journey begins. Thank you for all your prayers and support. I am now part of the 6 a.m crew. Diddy expressed his awareness of the commonality of his circumstances. He acknowledged single parents, both mothers and fathers, who have welcomed the multiplicity of duties entailed by single parenthood.

50 Cent shocked some of his fans with a comment he made about his son, Marquise Jackson. The young rapper was pictured with Kyle McGriff, who happens to be the son of 50’s longtime rival, Kenneth “Supreme” McGriff. The “Don’t Push Me” artist had said that he would remain unbothered if both young men were to be hit by a bus. While Jackson doesn’t seem to have reacted to his father’s words in any public manner, the other youngin’ came through with a response via social media.

McGriff junior filmed himself brushing his teeth while grooving to his “favorite song,” 50 Cent’s “Many Men.” The song’s introductory lyrics come through in the first clip. “Many men wish death upon me/Blood in my eye, dawg, and I can’t see.” He sings a couple of lines as well: “I’m the diamond in the dirt that ain’t been found/I’m the underground king and I ain’t been crowned.”

Kyle was definitely careful in displaying his acknowledgment of 50’s words. Although there was no real disrespect expressed in his videos, the chosen track was also tapped by the “Many Men” artist’s baby mother in her response to being called a “bitter old b*tch” for condemning his comment.

Blueface Confirms Drake Already Sent Verse For Collaboration

Blueface is one of the rising stars out of the West Coast right now. Although he only began getting major buzz outside of the West Coast in the past few months, he’s on his way to becoming the next biggest thing out of L.A. Earlier this week, he received one of the biggest co-signs of his career when the 6 God himself praised the Famous Cryp for his tracks, “Dead Locs” and “Next Big Thing.” Now, it looks like there’s a collab between Drake and Blueface coming soon.

During a recent visit to Power 106’s The Cruz Show, Blueface let the cat out the bag and revealed that a collaboration with Drake is officially on the way. He confirmed to the radio show that Drake sent his verse, but he didn’t share much more information about it. The collaboration is expected to be included on Blueface’s forthcoming album.

Earlier this week, Drake reached out to Blueface via Instagram DM’s to praise the “Studio” rapper as the next big thing to emerge in the rap game. The Canadian rapper revealed he got his go-to producer, Boi-1da to cook something up for their collaboration.

Aside from his collaboration with Drake, he was recently spotted in the studio with Soulja Boy, another rapper who’s always had his ear to the streets. It feels like the collaboration with Big Soulja & Blueface could be arriving before the Drake collab, but we’ll see.

The reality television star’s lifestyle and expensive fashion taste don’t point to her being in need of any type of financial assistance. Fans of the show were quick to make fun of the mother, assuming that her benefitting from the government program was ushered in by bad financial choices and irresponsibility.

Meek Mill is not even a week removed from the release of his first-post prison album, CHAMPIONSHIPS, but he might not be over just yet. During a fan Q&A session on Twitter, Meek Mill hinted that another project could be on the way before the end of the year.

“You think you can hit us with another real me mixtape. The streets been waiting,” a fan wrote to Meek Mill on Twitter. Meek’s mixtape run is a staple among his day-one fans. Clearly, Meek’s fully aware that the streets been missing him and he hinted that a new project could drop in a matter of weeks. “How bout I just drop another album before the year over!” He wrote to the fan.

In all honesty, it seems a bit unrealistic that we get a new album from Meek Mill before the end of 2018, but we could be hopeful. Despite hinting at the release of a CHAMPIONSHIPS follow-up, he also revealed that the album’s intro will be the next music video off of the project. The rapper recently shared a snippet of the music video on Instagram.

Meek also revealed the reason why he decided to freestyle on Drake‘s “Back to Back” diss track, saying, “I still had a lil problem wit that beat drake good but that beat used to get on my nerves when I heard it so it had to give me a rumble.”

Additionally, Meek also dubbed Tierra Whack as his favorite new rapper.

Meek Mill Explains Why Drake Shouldn’t Have Expected Rules In Pusha T Beef

In the ongoing rap feud, Drake became Meek and Pusha T became Drake, according to the “CHAMPIONSHIPS” battle.

Anyone who grew up around battle rap culture knows that there aren’t many boundaries, nor are there rules. It came as a surprise to many when Drake said that Pusha T went too far by dissing 40 over his health condition. However, many people, including Styles P and Dave East, claimed that there aren’t any rules to a rap beef. In fact, Meek Mill, whose career was at risk of falling off after Drake’s Grammy-nominated diss track “Back To Back” dropped, claimed that there “ain’t such thing as going too hard.”

In a recent sit down with Angie Martinez, Meek Mill spoke on the beef between Drake and Pusha T and everything that transpired this summer. While many argued that Pusha T went too far by dissing Drake’s parents and exposing the Canadian’s secret child, Meek suggested that it’s all part of the game.

“Ain’t no such thing as going too hard. I would tell Drake that when I see him, too,” he said. “I’m just tellin’ you, I’m come from where n***as sayin’, ‘We will smoke your mom.’ Like, ‘We will lay on your mom and smoke her. Your dad is a rat. Your sister is a hoe.’”

Meek then pointed out the fact that Drake never abided by any unwritten rules during their beef.

“It wasn’t no rules on me,” he said. “They got memes, all types of shit going on. I don’t know what to do. I’m in the mix. I’m confused now.”

“Ain’t no rules, though,” he added. “You can take any stance you want, you can do it how you want. Just, you know, continue your legacy and be great. We’re going to see all at the end, five years from now, 10 years from now, who is going to continue to be great. We’re gonna have some shootouts sometimes, you know what I mean? But as long as you make it home, that’s all that matters at the end of the night.”

50 Cent & His Baby Mother Feud After The Rapper’s Cruel Comment About Their Son

“Bitter” might not be the best word to describe a protective mother.

50 Cent has a tenuous relationship with the mother of his first son, Marquise Jackson. Their feud has been made public once more after the rapper made a shocking comment about their child online. He took aim at the Jackson junior, stating that he wouldn’t mind if the young man were to die. Shaniqua Thompkins responded with her own message via Instagram, which was received by Fifty and returned in kind.

Thompkins uploaded a text post to her IG story: “A n*gga with money don’t mean sh*t…. Ronald McDonald rich as f*ck….. but he still a clown.” Soon after, 50 screengrabbed the message and attached an insulting caption: “👀Alexa plat bitter old b*tch by lil baby ☕🐸LOL.”

The “bitter old b*tch” came through with another rebuttal, underlining his seemingly misguided focus when it comes to his kin.

“I find it humorous that a not so gangster rapper will go so hard and be so dilligent at going at his child and his child’s mother, but won’t keep that same energy for the n*ggas who put that hot lead up in his ass.. Alexa play ‘Many Men’ by 50 Cent.”

Jhené Aiko Recalls The Night She Almost Died Of Her Pill Addiction: “I Saw Blood”

She shares her experience of healing after the life-changing night.

Jhené Aiko has battled addiction and has since found ways to cope with her mental health issues without the use of drugs. The artist has now chosen to shed light on the night she thought her addiction would claim her life. Aiko uploaded a series of photos that tell her story through their captions.”I thought I was going to die,” she began. “I had just spent the day at the Maui Healing Center 2 days prior and left feeling so renewed, enlightened and like i was on the right path to proper healing. The next day, which was the day b4 i took this picture…i took a hike […] and visited my favorite statue of Buddha…”

Despite her seemingly healthy appearance in the photo, the previous night had ushered in a terrifying experience: “My head started pounding like never before. so much pain BUT i promised myself… no more pills!! EVER! […] i found myself on the bathroom floor… throwing up until i saw blood.”

The blood was alarming but Jhené’s worry was placed on the comfort of others. She reached out to a few loved ones, an action she perceived as a nuisance since she “didn’t want to worry or bother [anyone].” She went to bed despite her condition and “was happy to be alive” the next morning.

She took a hike that same day, a moment captured in a photo she says could “possibly be [her] next album cover.”

Later on, she went into the Pacific for another healing experience: “It felt like a baptism of some sort. never too late to start again. never too late to get better.”

Anderson .Paak underwent the late night rite of passage this weekend when he made his debut as the musical guest on Saturday Night Live. Off the fresh release of his third studio outing Oxnard, the California native pulled to the NBC set to run through renditions of project selects that include “Who R U” and the Kendrick Lamar—assisted bop “Tints.”Kendrick showed up in full effect alongside his collaborator as the two delivered on a performance of the track with .Paak taking his position behind a drum set for the first appearance. Soon, he would grace the stage once more to deliver on “Who R U.”Anderson was first announced as the musical guest for this episode back when Steve Carell hosted SNL with Ella Mai as the musical guest. The announcement coincided with the arrival of Oxnard and .Paak has been on a fruitful roll ever since. Last night’s episode was hosted by actress Claire Foy who is currently promoting her most recent film The Girl In The Spider’s Web, the sequel to 2011’s The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo.As for Anderson, he’ll be kicking off the new year with a three-date run in Australia and New Zealand. Oxnard will surely bring a full tour run in its wake, but for now we’ll have to make due with studio recordings on repeat.

Tekashi 6ix9ine Immediately “G Checked” Upon Transferring To New Facility

According to TMZ, Tekashi 6ix9ine was greeted by Crips who tested his mettle, upon entering the Brooklyn’s Metropolitan Detention Center. The tense showdown occurred on November 19 as Tekashi traded locales for the purpose of his safety. Unfortunately, it looks as though his new locale is just as threatening as the last.

Upon entering the new facility, Tekashi was greeted with hostility by several members of the Crips in detainment. who allegedly tested his mettle by standing their ground. Lucky for Tekashi, prison staffers were quick to intervene before things turned ugly. 6ix9ine’s lawyer Lance Lazzaro said his client “was being threatened in jail. However, he was not scared nor did he request being removed. The (Bureau of Prisons), acting upon these threats, removed him to a different facility to eliminate the threat.”

Before being granted a transfer, Tekashi is said to have requested a detainment far away removed from other gang members, conditions the Bureau of Prisons decidedly overlooked. As you know, the former “Tr3yway” rapper is a reputed member of the 9 Trey Gangsta Bloods, a gang largely associated with his racketeering charges. In the aftermath of the “G Check” incident, the Bureau of Prisons has so far been unwilling to assume any responsibility for the hostile exchange; Tekashi is no longer “in their custody,” as they would say.

In addition, the video simultaneously broke the same record on the Vevo platform as well.“thank u, next” was a highly-anticipated drop, Ariana’s first since the death of ex-boyfriend Mac Miller and her subsequent break up with fiancé Pete Davidson. The concert offered sultry visuals, as the rapper and her backup dancers flaunted their talents with flair and sex appeal. Cardi took her set to another level with the surprise appearance by her lover, Offset.

She finessed the crowd, feigning tiredness and inviting her man onstage for assistance. “I’m already running out of breath. I’ve got asthma. I’m gonna need somebody to help me out,” she joked before bringing out the Migos member to light up the event with their rendition of “Ric Flair Drip,” “This is my husband. Heyyyy husband.”

When the pair was done bumping to their track, she expressed gratitude for her partner: “Thank you husband. He’s so fine,” she told the crowd. “That’s my baby daddy yo.” Then, the couple embraced and locked lips for all to see.

Meek Mill Schools “White America” On CNN, Talks Jay-Z & Kanye West

Meek Mill‘s political awakening has been well documented since his release. Meek Mill might be indebted to the people who campaigned for his release while he was imprisoned, but let’s not forget, Meek Mill has been “subjugated” by probationary measures since he was 19-years old.His latest TV spot sat him down with CNN’s Michael Smerconish, during which time he was given the opportunity to reach a predominantly White American television audience, the intended demographic for his “prison reform” message. Also on the docket, the timely Championships release – Meek touching on the hot-button issue of Jay-Z stern agenda on “What’s Free.” To that point, Meek doesn’t think the song was intended as a diss per se, but he does take issue with Kanye West “cutting against the grain.”

“Kanye came out of nowhere and just went red hat, and that was kind of against everything we represent,” he said. “We came up fighting, and fighting for our rights for a long time, and what that red hat represents don’t really represent what we’ve been fighting for our whole lives.”

Afterward, Meek Mill took a surprising turn in praising Donald Trump for his “prison reform” initiative. “I’m not a politician, but I feel like anything that a president does to fix laws and statues that don’t make any sense and are unfair to American people is the right thing to do,” he said. Nelly is said to have come to the rescue at after a brawl began on the first level of yacht party attended by A-List guests including Future and Akon.

Imagine a superhero with countless chart-topping songs, St.Louis swag, a wardrobe full of retro sweatbands, and a small white band-aid on his left cheek. Sounds rather interesting, right?Although Nelly no longer rocks the band-aid, the recording artist is being heralded for his heroic ways. According to a report by The Post, during a recent fight which took place on a yacht sailing close to Dubai, the rapper sprang into action to come to the aid of a wounded person. The yacht party is said to have been attended by various hip-hop heavyweights including Future and Akon who like French Montana, Tyga, Post Malone, Sam Smith, and The Weeknd, were gathered in Abu Dhabi this past week for the Formula 1 Grand Prix.During the aforementioned scuffle, one partygoer was struck in the face with a bottle. Upon hearing a disturbance, Nelly reportedly acted immediately, going out of his way to help the injured individual. “When Nelly heard the commotion, he went running in to help the person who was hit in the nose,” a source told The Post. Local police are said to have arrived on the scene shortly after the fight broke out and rounded up guests for questioning.A representative for Nelly has yet to respond to claims about the incident.

“The Boosie Fade” has taken on great meaning since it was first popularized by its namesake Boosie Badazz. For those who don’t know, “The Boosie Fade” is essentially a haircut colloquially associated with the Baton Rouge rapper, by which the sides of his scalp are shaven clean, while the top remains at a modest length. This cartoon rendering should give you a vague idea.

“Barber Tutorials” like the one below, have put “The Boosie Fade” in the hands of the DIY crowd, and this YouTuber isn’t alone in championing the fade on the platform. “The Boosie Fade” is also a regional fixture in barbershops across the country, and well on its way to becoming culturally idiomatic, if it hasn’t already.

Boosie Badazz was on Raquel Harper’s BET program Raq Rants to discuss a whole range of issues, including his plans to get the “The Boosie Fade” trademarked within the Federal Courts. He told Harper that he has his lawyers working around the clock to secure exclusive naming rights.

The reason being: Boosie is tired of “Hollywood-types” profiting off the hairstyle when it appears in movies and television. He compared its intellectual usage rights to a production company using a Marvin Gaye song without a license. Does he have a point?

Currently, supermodel Tyra Banks is making the rounds in promotion of her Life-Size 2 film, the sequel to the original film that debuted 18 years ago, starring banks and a young Lindsay Lohan. In the film, Tyra portrays the original Black Barbie, Eve, a doll who comes to life off the power of magic and all that good stuff.Notably, Eve has a theme song “Be A Star” that was originally performed by Tyra herself. The track recently got a “Be A Star 2” reboot that features Tyra Banks flexing rapping skills in a clear attempt to deliver on an updated sound. On that topic, Sway naturally inquired about Tyra’s skills off-screen and the supermodel kindly offered up a response by whipping out an old rap she penned in the ninth grade to make her point.“I wrote this in algebra class, in the ninth-grade,” she explained. “I was in the back row. Will Smith’s Money Tied In Bankruptcy Scam By Duane Martin: Report

Smith is said to have given them a loan of $1.4 million.

Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith helped their longtime friends with a hefty loan which was subsequently used in a fraudulent manner. Tisha Campbell, who is most known for her television role on Martin, filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy with her husband in January 2016. She and Duane Martin owed $65,000 in real estate and $258,000 in personal property, their debts totally approximately $15.1 million. According to legal documents, Martin is believed to have hidden money for years from several sources. He kept the income streaming in from a clothing store and real estate investments without disclosing the information to the bankruptcy officials.

Martin’s scam started to crumble when Campbell filed for divorce in February. Officials discovered the “diverted valuable assets,” including the $1.4 million loan received from Will and Jada. The loan was used through the Smiths’ company to flip real estate “with the intention of pocketing the sales.” The money is now caught in a shady financial situation that will likely lead to criminal charges, though the Smiths are not considered suspects.

Bankruptcy officials are now asking the court to revoke the discharge of debt granted to Duane in his bankruptcy case. They are also asking the actor to give in the money he has been concealing.

Campbell has asked the court to demand more money from Martin during their divorce proceedings in June, claiming the man had hidden money during their marriage. Sources say that Campbell tried to convince her husband to come clean to “avoid jail and be there for their two children.”

Comedian Apologizes For Calling Blue Ivy “Ugly” Like Her Father Jay-Z

Funky Dineva got a lot of unwanted attention after his last appearance on TS Madison’s show, The Queen’s Court. When the guests were taking shots at Jay-Z’s looks, Dineva decided to shift the heat towards the rapper’s 7-year-old daughter, Blue Ivy, calling the child “ugly.” Social media responded in anger. Funky Dineva has since filmed a video to address the situation and apologize to The Carters as well as their fans.

In the clip available below, the man acknowledges that the words he chose while being “in character” were “gross,” considering the fact that he is a “grown ass man” who took aim at a “defenseless” child for the sake of a punchline.

“I’m upset with myself. I’ve said some off the wall things before in the name of comedy, and I’ve stood by them all and defended them all, and told the general public, you know, ‘Forget you. You’re just gonna have to be mad.’ But this is one of those things that I’m not proud of. I can’t stand in this one”

He goes on to say that he feels ashamed about the situation: “I recognize wholeheartedly that what I did was wrong…Find it in your hearts to forgive me. Hopefully, we can get past this.” He promises to make efforts in the future to be more mindful of his jokes and “be a better wordsmith when it comes to people’s children.”
