Huey first rose to prominence in 2006, when he released his breakout single “Pop, Lock & Drop It,” a track that performed admirably on the Billboard charts. He released his debut album Notebook Paper the following year, which featured appearances from T-PainLloydYo Gotti, and more. Many of his fans, friends, and collaborators have since shared condolences and homages to the late rapper, a testament to the impact he made during his lifetime.

We’d like to send our condolences to Huey’s friends and family. He leaves behind a 13-year-old daughter. Rest in peace.
