Yung Miami, JT, and Lil Durk tell their stories on the title track to “City On Lock.”

There are a few songs that serve as album stand-outs on the new City Girls album City On Lock. The girl group goes to work with Lil Baby on “Flewed Out,” and by themselves on “Double CC’s” but one of the best tracks from the new collection is the title offering.

“City On Lock” briefly tells Yung Miami and JT’s personal stories coming up before Lil Durk takes over and brings more “Voice of the Street” vibes. JT reps for Liberty City before making reference to her scamming past. Yung Miami takes over and puts on for Opa-Locka, allowing room for Lil Durk to slide through and dominate the entire second half of the record.

The Durkio x City Girls connection is a strong one, deriving from years of struggle and hustling to get to the top. It goes without saying that the fans would love to hear more songs from this pairing.

Codeine
I’m sippin’ lean for the protein
Ain’t no co-defendant
Slide on them blocks by my lonely
