A few weeks ago, Thugger previewed a new track that was seemingly inspired by the George Floyd protests across America. The verse just so happened to be for the remix to “Rascal” that dropped earlier today. The Rascal Flatts-influenced record now features a verse from hip-hop’s original country outlaw of the 2010s, Thug, who uses his own experiences with police to paint a broader picture of the recent uprising of protests in America.
