Jim Jones drops a new track about the protests following George Floyd’s murder by former police officer Derek Chauvin.

The world is in pain after the murder of George Floyd. The show was paused on Black Out Tuesday but now, people are back to using their voices through music to communicate the community’s emotions.

Jim Jones is one of the many artists that have released tribute or protest songs following the death of George Floyd. His track, produced by Harry Fraud, is titled “The People.”

In it, he makes several powerful statements, ending the song by letting out numerous cries of “I can’t breathe.” He references the now-infamous tweet made by President Donald Trump, stating that “once the looting starts, the shooting starts.”

Listen to Jim Jones’ latest musical release here and speak out in the comments.

Quotable Lyrics:

They been burnin’ precincts down on CNN for the past 3 days
That’s for every time we see that murder on media replays
The President tweeted and said, “when the looting starts”
His exact quote was, “that’s when the shooting starts”
Well, tell that motherfucker we already started lootin’
