Terrace Martin Taps Denzel Curry, Daylyt & More For “Pig Feet”

Terrace Martin

Terrace Martin taps Denzel Curry, Kamasi Washington, G Perico, and Daylyt for the impactful “Pig Feet.”

While many artists have taken to the streets to protest systemic racism and police brutality, several of those same artists have taken to channeling their frustration into music. For Terrace Martin, his latest single finds him exploring impactful ground, bringing along a stacked supporting cast of Denzel Curry, Kamasi Washington, G Perico, and Dylyt for the incendiary “Pig Feet.”

Over a frantic instrumental driven by pianos and heavy drums, Denzel Curry kicks things off with a vivid picture. “Helicopters over my balcony, if the police can’t arrest they want to smoke every ounce of me,” declares Denzel. “Breath is alchemy.” Though Perico and Washington don’t have verses, instead contributing by way of spoken-word, tone-setting segues, Daylyt brings things to a close on an abstract and admittedly dense note. But for those willing to unpack some of his non-sequiturs, there’s plenty to gain from his unique perspective — check it out for yourself right here.

QUOTABLE LYRICS

Helicopters over my balcony
If the police can’t harass, they wanna smoke every ounce of me
Breath is alchemy, see how the life converted
You tell me life’s a female dog, well I’m perverted
Go to jail and get murdered
Murder was the case they gave us
Manipulate the system so the prison could save us
