Hi All ,

Back in late 1980’s an Hip Hop Group came out alongside its movement that brought a style of dressing with Dashiki (No , and it ain’t Doggy-Style in Swahili 😉 ) , which was back in the days an African dressing .

The group name was The Native Tongues that featured Black Sheep , De La Soul , A Tribe Called Quest , Monie Love , The Jungle Brothers & Queen Latifha & many more .

The Native Tongues is a collective of late 1980s and early 1990s hip-hop artists known for their positive-minded, good-natured Afrocentric lyrics, and for pioneering the use of eclectic sampling and later jazz-influenced beats.
