New Music Friday - New Singles From Coi Leray + Kodak Black, DaBaby, Icewear Vezzo + More

We know how difficult it is to pull yourself away from Tyler, The Creator’s Call Me If You Get Lost but distance makes the heart grow fonder, so take a step away and get lost in this roundup of the best singles that dropped this New Music Friday.

To start, DaBaby dropped “Red Light Green Light” produced by d.a. got that dope, while KenTheMan dropped “I’m Perfect.” This week also brought new collaborative tracks in the form of “At The Top,” a joint track from Coi Leray and Kodak Black and “Sick!” with Bayli and ILOVEMAKONNEN.

KYLE, Bankrol Hayden and OhGeesy all dropped new singles as well, so be sure to keep reading for all the best songs released on the week ending on Friday, June 25.

“Red Light Green Light” – DaBaby

As DaBaby begins to embark on a gargantuan festival run, he’s making sure there’s enough new material to keep fans satisfied. His latest single, “Red Light Green Light,” has Baby switching his flows backed by a flute-centric beat that sounds like it was supposed to drop on St. Patrick’s Day, but we’ll take it for the summer.

“At The Top” – Coi Leray f. Kodak Black

Coi Leray is poised to become a breakout star with a combination of talent, charisma and the ability to grab headlines, keeping her relevant even when she isn’t dropping music. Her latest effort is a hazy coast side banger with Kodak Black coming by for an unlikely pairing that works.

“Tear The Club Up” – Icewear Vezzo f. Future

Icewear Vezzo already dropped the well-received project Rich Off Pints, but it appears he isn’t slowing down. His latest single “Tear The Club Up” taps Future for debaucherous verses about unhinged and lavish nights at the club.

“Love Me Like You Say” – KYLE

The man formerly known as SuperDuperKyle has returned just in time for summer with an acoustic breakup ballad “Love Me Like You Say.” KYLE takes a cue from Ne-Yo, Mario, Omarion and other mid-late 00s R&B singers with his melodramatic lyrics and soulful singing.

“Cabo” – Bankrol Hayden

Bankrol Hayden is back to celebrate the summer with his new Latin-infused single “Cabo.” On the track Hayden interpolates Usher’s “U Remind Me” and croons about his rise, love life and luxurious way of living.

“Secret Service” – OhGeesy

Former Shoreline Mafia rapper OhGeesy is gearing up for his debut project, Geezy World, but first he’s teasing fans with his latest single “Secret Service.” The new track produced by RON-RON The Producer has Geesy catching fans up on his lifestyle, complete with a third verse he admits is a rarity for today’s Hip Hop climate.

“I’m Perfect” – KenTheMan

KenTheMan’s stock continues to grow as a rapper to watch this year. Her latest single “I’m Perfect” interpolates Drake and Lil Wayne’s “The Motto,” as the Houstonite glides across the track with blunt confidence and a too-cool-to-care attitude.

“Sick!” – Bayli Ft. ILOVEMAKONNEN

Brooklyn artist Bayli taps the resurgent ILOVEMAKONNEN for the collaborative single “Sick!,” dropping right before the end of Black Music Month and Pride.

Don’t leave before checking out our Honorable Mentions, this week includes Scorey’s “Love Letter” and Akinyemi’s “CAVALIER.”
