Cyn Santana clarifies her stance on interracial dating.
“I just like black guys and Spanish girls,” she explained. “Y’all can keep the Puerto Rican men, I’m good. I do black guys all day, sorry. I did the Spanish thing…doesn’t work out for me. I think they’re too emotional,” Cyn told Angela Yee in 2016. “Black guys cater to us Spanish girls, especially. Like they…you know what, let me not get into it. Black girls gonna take it personal, they gonna be like ‘uhh uhhh!’ Anyway, I’m done with the papis.”
Social media reacted in part by finding Cyn Santana guilty of “ethnic stereotyping.” The reality star has since responded to the backlash by asserting her innocence while providing a plethora of good deeds to compensate. Her rationale being: “old ass interview, my young ass worded something poorly and today in social media everything gets taken completely out of context.” In a subsequent Tweet, Cyn apologized, or rather, explained her issuance of the N-word in the Angela Yee interview, by stating that she was indeed guilty of misappropriating the word for most of her teenage life, and has since recanted.
