• Trick Daddy Blames Trolls, Not BeyHive, For Beyoncé Backlash

Last year, Trick Daddy went viral after a clip of him saying Beyoncé can’t sing went viral and now, he’s doing a bit of explaining.

After the internet let him have it over his remarks about Beyoncé,Trick Daddy is thinking twice. Back in June 2021, Trick Daddy Dollars took over the internet after he made a few loaded comments about Beyoncé and Jay-Z. “Beyoncé don’t write music and barely can sing her motherf*ckin’ self,” he said. “Beyoncé can’t sang!”

“Man, I watched my godmama train Beyoncé, vocal lessons all her career,” Trick continued. “I’mma give an unpopular opinion right now: Beyoncé is to R&B what Jay-Z is to New York. That’s why they together. Jay-Z ain’t never won the greatest rapper alive. Whoever put him on a level like that?”

Hundreds of thousands of fans across several platforms pelted Trick with insults and criticisms, even leaving his restaurant bad reviews online, and almost a year later, he revisited his viral moment. The Rap legend caught up with TMZ Live to promote his new cooking show, B!tch I Got My Pots, and during the chat, he walked back on his previous statements.

Trick Daddy doesn’t believe that the BeyHive was responsible for those negative reviews because he claims that they are “real Beyoncé fans.” He blames it all on trolls looking to take him down for fun.

“Trust me, I love Beyoncé, I respect her business aspect, I have known her, I have watched grow since a little girl into what she’s become,” he said. “I was talking about ‘sanging’ and ‘singing’ is two different things, and that’s what we was talking about. And one of these trolls took a piece of the conversation and put it on the internet.”

  • KENDRICK LAMAR SOAKS UP FAN LOVE WHILE ATTENDING L.A. DODGERS GAME

Kendrick Lamar Soaks Up Fan Love While Attending L.A. Dodgers Game

LOS ANGELES, CA – Kendrick Lamar had fans losing their minds earlier this week when he announced his fifth studio album, Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers, will drop on May 13. His rare public appearances tend to have a similar effect on fans, too.

On Tuesday (April 19), Kendrick took a trip to Dodger Stadium to watch his hometown Los Angeles Dodgers take on the Atlanta Braves. Instead of splashing the cash on a press box like other celebrities, though, the Compton-bred rapper sat among the crowd in the stadium’s outfield pavilion, where tickets cost upwards of $50.

Footage from the game showed Kendrick Lamar — inconspicuously dressed in a black beanie, gray sweatshirt and sunglasses — being swarmed by fans once they realized who he was. From there, the TDE MC graciously soaked up the fan love, shaking hands, giving pounds and posing for photos.

Sitting next to Kendrick in a blue Dodgers hat was fellow L.A. rapper Tanna Leone, who recently became the newest signee to Kendrick and Dave Free’s pgLang label.

The Dodgers’ official Instagram account even posted the rare Kendrick Lamar sighting with a caption referring to one of his many monikers. “Don’t you address him unless it’s with four letters,” the post read.

The star power inside Dodger Stadium wasn’t enough to help the hometown team pull off the victory as the Braves won 3-1. Fans still went home happy after seeing the Grammy-winning rapper sitting amongst them during the game, though.

Aside from catching the MLB action, Kendrick Lamar continued the rollout for Mr. Morale & The Big Steppers on Tuesday night by mysteriously updating his website, oklama.com. Many fans believe the update hints at the imminent arrival of “The Heart Part 5.”

  • FAT JOE BRINGING FIGHT AGAINST MEDICAL BILL ‘CROOKS’ TO THE WHITE HOUSE: ‘THEY ROBBING US’

Fat Joe Bringing Fight Against Medical Bill 'Crooks' To The White House: 'They Robbing Us'

Fat Joe took a break from promoting his new memoir to team up with Power To The Patients – an awareness campaign launched in 2021 to combat the hidden prices of healthcare – and dropped a PSA video on Tuesday (April 19) describing how medical patients across the country are being scammed by healthcare insurers.

“Right now millions of people are getting robbed, and not by the guys you might think, but by hospital and insurance company executives,” the Bronx legend says in the video. “They crooks because they manage to hide hospital prices from all of us. When we can’t see or compare prices, hospitals charge us whatever they want. They robbin’ us. It’s corporate greed, it’s not even legal, but no one is enforcing that law.”

He continued, “We love our nurses, we need our doctors, but the big business behind ’em is breaking our backs. So to all you politicians letting ’em crush us, you breaking my heart because you broke your promise to the very people you swore to protect. It’s time for you to step up and enforce this law. Their corporate greed is devastating patients and their families. Hospitals are obligated to show us their prices, and we demand ’em.”

Power To The Patients helps patients and their families understand the real financial obligations of their medical decisions and institutions. The campaign strives to bring awareness to these rules and combat the lack of transparency and inconsistent pricing often leading Americans into exorbitant medical debt.

Fat Joe is reportedly bringing this fight all the way to Washington, as a source shared with TMZ that the rapper will be attending the White House Correspondents dinner later in April to rep the organization.

  • 2 CHAINZ WANTS TO START HIS OWN VENTURE CAPITAL FUND FOLLOWING INSTACART INVESTMENT

2 Chainz Wants To Start His Own Venture Capital Fund Following Instacart Investment

2 Chainz is not only a Grammy-nominated, platinum-selling rapper, he’s also a smart businessman. Together with Juicy J, Tity Boi invested $2 billion in a solar energy merger last summer. The Most Expensivest host has also previously invested in Escobar Restaurant & Tapas, a nail salon called Pamper, an after-hours club called Members Only, a cannabis line and much more.

Chainz took to Instagram on Tuesday (April 19) and said he’s had so many successful investments over the years that he’s considering starting his own venture capital fund.

“So this Instacart, most of y’all know about it,” 2 Chainz said showing a fresh batch of groceries he received from the delivery app. “I invested in Instacart a while back. You know I’m a part of a few funds, VC funds, private equity stuff that I’m seriously thinking about starting my own fund where I can connect the dots be the bridge between people that don’t get these opportunities that I be getting, right?”

He continued, “So let me know if I did something in the private equity field would you be interested in trusting me? Even if you don’t I’m still like rich or whatever. I have a lot of these opportunities I’m investing in a lot of stuff and yeah.”

The comments were flooded with eager fans who said they’d definitely trust Tity Boi with their hard-earned cash.

This isn’t the first time 2 Chainz has offered to help others achieve financial success. In 2020, the Georgia lyricist teamed up with YouTube for a five-part series called Money Maker Fund, inspired by his 2020 single “Money Maker,” where he fielded business pitches from HBCU students and alumni and invested $55,000 into the most promising ideas.
