A$AP ROCKY KICKS OFF KLARNA PARTNERSHIP WITH SHORT FILM

Swedish finance company Klarna announced last week A$AP Rocky is investing money in the brand to help it grow in the US market. Pretty Flacko is one of several big-name people such as Snoop Dogg and Lady Gaga who have joined forces with Klarna.

On Tuesday (June 8), Klarna and A$AP Rocky kicked off their partnership with a multimedia campaign that encourages consumers to refresh their look as the world begins to emerge from pandemic lockdowns.

The first part of the campaign comes in a short film starring A$AP Rocky who tries to acclimate himself in a post-lockdown world. Eventually, Rocky gets his mojo back and sheds his quarantine look for a more fresh style. UK rapper Skepta also makes an appearance to bring Klarna and A$AP Rocky’s message home.

“It’s not for me to decide what people should wear or how they should wear it, but helping Klarna create a space for people to discover their own style is more of the consulting and curation I’ve been a part of in fashion for years,” A$AP Rocky said in a statement.

David Sandström, CMO of Klarna, added, “As a brand and service, Klarna wants to evoke feelings. A$AP Rocky’s innovative mindset and his impeccable sense of style and creativity paired with Klarnas shopping services is the perfect match that will lead us all out of fashion hibernation and encourage everyone to get out and express themselves again.”
