LOGIC DROPS A COOL QUARTER MILL ON RARE POKÉMON CARD

Logic Drops A Cool Quarter Mill On Rare Pokémon Card

Logic’s way of enjoying retirement? Purchasing items he couldn’t nab in his childhood.

Logic made certain that he got hold of a first edition Charizard Pokémon card, paying a ridiculous $226,000 for it.

Back in 1999 as Pokémon’s popularity was first exploding in the U.S., cards weren’t entirely expensive. As they’ve become retro, the value of certain cards have jumped over the past two decades. Logic’s purchase of the Charizard card managed to set a Nintendo record in regards to collectibles. The rarity of Logic’s card is the graphic is shadowless, meaning the shadow on the right side of the art is not visible.

LOGIC DEMANDS DEF JAM TO PAY UP: ‘STOP FUCKING UP MY PERSONAL RELATIONSHIPS’

While Logic is making certain his relationship with nostalgia is still A1, he’s still at odds with Def Jam Recordings over non-payment for his friends and collaborators.

On October 3, he shared screenshots of a conversation with collaborator Kevin Randolph wondering why Randolph hadn’t been paid.

“@defjam can you please pay my friends and musicians that have made my albums great this is ridiculous at this point!” he wrote. “I shouldn’t be getting calls from close friends of mine in the middle of dinner with my Wife about how YOU haven’t paid them from the budget you’ve given me for this album.”

He concluded a lengthy Instagram post threatening to release one more project to fulfill his Def Jam contract just so he’d no longer have to engage with the label.

“Y’all make me want to un retire and drop the last album I have under my contract just so I don’t have to deal with y’all no more man god damn!” he wrote.
