GoldLink gets real spicy on the latin-infused track “Spanish Song.”

GoldLink returns with a versatile sound, a latin-infused one at that. The song “Spanish Song” reminds us of GoldLink’s wonderful meshing style as it mixes the groove and the smooth for the perfect combination. Through the instrumental, we can hear a variety of instruments and assembly of vocals which do GoldLink’s bars justice. Once more, the artist returns to bless our ears with a song about a mesmerizing Spanish lover, whose lusty moves on the dancefloor is driving him crazy. On the hook, we find the encouraging voice of an unidentified artist, but it nevertheless, makes for a great song.

GoldLink recently dropped the eclectic project, Diaspora. The well-rounded body of work from the DMV artist reflects his musical prowess and ability to mesh a series of different styles together. Moreover, the album calls on collaborations from a slew of artists which include Tyler The Creator, Khalid, Pusha T, and even Afrobeat artists Wizkid and Maleek Berry.

Entitled, streaming Tidal, I stream off the roof
Bought the richest coupe, liquor got me loose, uh-uh

Wale continues the musical onslaught with his third drop in as many weeks.

Following up last week’s numerological “Gemini,”Wale has returned with yet another new drop. Clearly, the oft-unsung lyricist is cooking something up, with all signs pointing to a full-fledged project; who knows, if we’re lucky we might even get some of that unreleased MMG heat. Either way, Wale has been keeping busy, a hot-streak that has manifested into yet another intriguing drop. This time around, Wale hops on some jazzy production, delivering ample style and geek-friendly references to Super Smash Bros.

“A n***a style something they can never grasp, every beat I smash like I’m Ike, Snake, Cloud, or Kirby,” spits Wale. “They not observing they try ignoring, they try murk me.” As the beat heats up, Wale rides the unconventional rhythm with a notable swagger, a confidence that bodes well for him going forward. As one who openly wears his insecurities on his sleeve, it’s nice to see Wale operating comfortably from within his bag. Check out “09 Folarin” now, and expect the weekly releases to continue until proven otherwise.
