  • Madonna Fails To Block Tupac Shakur Love Letter Sale

Madonna Fails To Block Tupac Shakur Love Letter Sale

    Patrick McMullan

NEW YORK, NY – Madonna was once romantically linked to the late, great Tupac Shakur. While he was in prison, the Hip Hop icon penned a letter to the pop matriarch and it’s finally going up for auction. While Madge tried to block the sale, TMZ reports her efforts were futile.

According to new legal documents, the platinum-selling singer just lost her appeal to halt the sale.

A New York State Appeals Court ruled Madonna can’t pursue claims against her former friend and art consultant Darlene Lutz or Gotta Have Rock and Roll, the online auction house Lutz consigned the items to last year.

A judge threw out Madonna’s lawsuit last year after it was revealed she’d signed a release form in 2004. On Tuesday (June 4), the appellate court upheld the judge’s ruling in a 5-0 decision, explaining Madonna’s claims are blocked by the “very broad” release.

The letter in question, which was written in 1995, served as ‘Pac’s breakup letter to the ’80s superstar. He ended their sexual relationship essentially because of her skin color and concerns over what dating a white woman would do to his “image.”

The item goes up for auction next month. Read the full letter here.

Young Thug wants to make it clear he doesn’t approve of his daughter driving a car.

After a video surfaced of his child behind the wheel of a moving vehicle, Thugger responded to social media criticism in an Instagram Stories post. The YSL Records founder said he wasn’t present when the incident happened but planned to take action to prevent it from ever occurring again.

“Never would I put my child’s life in danger nor anyone else’s life,i am out of town that video is clearly in Atlanta,” he wrote. “I am a very safe man, especially when it come down to my kids. I am very smart, last thing I’m looking for is clout/fame I have both. Plus she wouldn’t dare even ask me could she drive a car… But it’ll be handled ‘expeditiously.’”

He added, “You people must get smarter then you are to think I’m anywhere near such a thing.”

Thugger also commented on The Shade Room’s Instagram post of the video and requested the clip be taken down.

“This is very inappropriate and not approved by me, I would never put my kid or anybody else on the street driving a car in danger… and I would love if u guys took it down,” he wrote. “I truly understand you’re a blog and your meanings to the internet but I would really loved if u took it down.”

Action Bronson is returning to Viceland’s airwaves. The network has announced the renewals of his food documentary series Fuck, That’s Delicious and his comedy show Traveling The Stars: Action Bronson and Friends Watch Ancient Aliens.

“We couldn’t be happier to have more Action on the channel,” Viceland president Guy Slattery said in a press release. “He’s a singular talent whose passion, knowledge and energy leap off the screen.”

Bronson added, “I’m happy to continue my life’s work.”

The renewals of both series come after some friction emerged between Bronson and the network in 2018. Last October, he criticized Viceland after it compared him to chef Nusret Gökçe, a.k.a. “Salt Bae,” on Twitter.

“YOU WEIRDO MOTHERFUCKERS ARE LUCKY TO HAVE EVER BEEN IN MY PRESENCE,” Bronson wrote. “FUCK YOU AND ALL YOUR BULLSHIT. ILL TAKE MY TALENTS ELSEWHERE BECAUSE YOU SURE DON’T APPRECIATE WHAT I’VE DONE FOR YOU. FUCK THATS DELICIOUS IS FOREVER BITCH. I OWN ALL RIGHTS. I CREATED IT.”

He continued, “YOU WOULD THINK THEY WOULD USE THEIR PLATFORM TO PROMOTE THE SHOW ON THEIR CHANNEL PEOPLE ACTUALLY LIKE. I WAS ALSO ON THEIR RECORD LABEL THAT HAD ONE EMPLOYEE. I MUST BE OUT OF MY MIND.”

Later that month, Bronson said he was unofficially done working for Vice Media — the parent company of Viceland — during an appearance on Complex’s Open Late With Peter Rosenberg. But, the two sides have ironed out their issues to proceed with new seasons of his TV shows.

Fuck, That’s Delicious originally began as a Vice web series before moving to Viceland when the network launched in 2016. Traveling The Stars, which features Bronson and guests watching episodes of the History Channel series Ancient Aliens, premiered that same year but only ran for one season.
