Cardi B leads the Billboard Music Award 21 nominations.

Cardi B is on year three of proving haters wrong. In 2017, she dominated the charts with “Bodak Yellow” which many thought would be her only hit, but clearly, they were wrong. She dominated 2018 with the release of her debut album, Invasion Of Privacy which earned a Grammy win for Best Rap Album. Cardi’s been racking up accolades though. Earlier today, it was announced that she was nominated for 21 Billboard Music Awards. The Bronx rapper hit Instagram to express her gratitude.

Cardi B took to Instagram to thank her followers and fans for supporting her on her journey in the rap game. Sheintro’d the video by saying she’s doing the video, “justlbby-style” — due to looking like a stale Cheeto — before diving into her thanking the fans. “I feel like that bitch right now,” she said about the nominations.

“I remember when all I ever wanted to do was chart on the Hot 100 charts,” Cardi B said in the video. “I was like, if I chart, I’m official. Like I celebrated my first charting — when I charted at [No.] 75 — the same way I celebrated my first No. 1 on the Billboard charts.”

Cardi B’s been nominated 21 times across eighteen categories. She will be competing against herself in three categories including top Hot 100 song, top-selling song as well as top collaboration.

The 2019 Billboard Music Awards goes down on May 1.
