Lowell Grissom Jr. is in the clear.
The District Attorney’s office has stated that they won’t file any charges against Chris Brown’s friend, Lowell Grissom Jr after they found there was an insufficient amount of evidence. The legal documents obtained by the gossip website says, “Based upon the lack of corroborating evidence and some slight discrepancies in the victim’s version of the facts, this matter cannot be proven without a reasonable doubt. Therefore, with the concurrence of the investigating officer, prosecution will be declined.”
The civil suit against Chris Brown and Lowell Grissom Jr. is still ongoing. Gloria Allred, a famed lawyer, held a press conference after the D.A.’s office announced that they wouldn’t be filing charges against Grissom. She said the case was “one of the most horrific sexual assault cases” she’s ever seen.
Following the allegations, Grissom denied that he had raped the woman. His attorney maintained his client’s innocence while ripping Allred, saying, “This civil lawsuit is a blatant attempt at a money grab and to harm the reputation of my client while encouraging PR noise for Gloria Allred while she exploits this young woman for her own financial gains and public persona.”
