Tory Lanez Posts Up With Uncle Murda On The Subliminal-Heavy “62”

Cover

Tory Lanez flexes his producer chops on Uncle Murda’s “62.”

I never thought I’d see the day where a contemporary rapper would base a whole song around snuff language. For those that know the meaning of a “62” – a job well done. To everyone else, the numerical value of a “62” demonstrates shades of grey, all pointing to known informant Tekashi 6ix9ine, whom Uncle Murda publicly lambasted days ago. While it may seem a little farfetched to causally link the numbers “62” and “69,” greater twists of fate have occurred in the Rotten Manzana.

Tory Lanez‘ might have considered himself an ally to Tekashi before he and everyone else learned of his snitching ways, but on the surface “62” is not a song about anyone in particular, but rather a New York State mind infiltrating the brain. While Tory Lanez embodies very few characteristics of a native New Yorker, his presence on the song is befitting, solely because it offsets much of Uncle Murda’s incessantly angry tone of voice.

Interestingly enough, Tory’s chorus isn’t his lone contribution, as he also co-produced the record with the help of Play Picasso. “62” is the second collaboration between the largely disparate entities, the first being “Pussy Like Oouuu” which premiered on WorldStar about a year ago.

Quotable Lyrics:

The b*tches go for 62 ’round this motherfucker
Don’t fuck around and move ’round this motherfucker.

– Tory Lanez

Offset Joins DaBaby On “Baby Sitter” Off His Interscope Debut

Cover

DaBaby grabs Offset as they foil “Baby Sitter” duty for the umpteenth time.

DaBaby’s Interscope debut boasts more than a few prominent features, but none quite as earthshattering as Offset‘s cameo appearance on “Baby Sitter.” Is there a better way to promote the commencement of a little known artist’s upcoming North American tour, than to clip Offset’s name in accompaniment, I think not.

On “Baby Sitter” DaBaby muses tongue in cheek with the notion that he’s a full-grown baby macking on your dame – Offset would be wise to find cover, after calling out to “Shawty” who “wanna be famous” as encrypted in the song. But like the other star-studded features on Baby on Baby, DaBaby keeps the guest-dubbing to a minimum.

“Baby Sitter” is produced by Go Grizzly, a well-tenured beatmaker whose work is doted on by Kevin Gates and NBA Youngboy in particular. So, before you jump to conclusions, give the whole project a load-up right here, you won’t be disappointed.

Quotable Lyrics:

You probably don’t wan’ let your baby mama take a picture
‘Cause I’m the type of Baby that’s gon’ fuck her babysitter
I just did a show and pulled off laughin’ on a hatin’ nig**
Them bitches aimin’ at Y’all fast, I’m on these rapper nig**s’ ass
I pulled that .40 out, he better have an angel with him.

– DaBaby
