Everyone from Gunna & Offset to Lil Pump & Kehlani have all released new projects today, and it’s only right we highlight a few tracks from them. Coming off his Grammy nomination & win for “Best Rap Performance” for “Kings Dead,” TDE rapper Jay Rock decides to return to the scene today and share a new song called “The Other Side,” featuring Sacramento rapper Mozzy and DCMBR. The song looks to be an addition to last year’s Redemption album as it’s listed as track #15 now on iTunes.

The wait is over. After much anticipation, Offset finally released his solo debut today called Fatherof 4, which included a star-studded cast of features consisting of J. It’s a veritable “Lil” fest on the latest Harverd Dropout single. Lil Pump and Lil Wayne may be separated by a vast stylistic canyon, but somehow, fate has brought them together. “Be Like Me” finds them taking to a bouncy instrumental, minimalist in its arrangement but ultimately prime to be destroyed by any capable emcee. As it happens, Pump offers up an admirable effort, though he admittedly hits cruise control for the most part. “Everybody want to be like Ye, And everybody wanna be like Ye, everybody wanna go and smash Kim K,” he raps. “You can talk shit about me everyday, but I’m still rich at the end of the day.”Luckily, Wayne wastes little time in setting the course, galvanizing the track with an impressive verse. “You followin’ my lead, my chopper isn’t clean, and Lil Pump, he got the pump, I got the M-16,” spits Wayne. “My pockets stuffy, they gon’ need some antihistamine, n***s always bit the steez, the bitches never bit the D.” At the very least, Wayne’s flow constructs are dynamic, and while it doesn’t take much to steal the spotlight from Pump, the effort remains appreciated nevertheless.Keep an eye out for Harverd Dropout, arriving tomorrow. Gunna and Playboi Carti quietly delivered a sneakily good record on Die Lit, to very little fanfare. “No Time” was just the type of record to go unpronounced by the fleeting rap connoisseur – props to anyone who remarked upon their first outing on Drip Season 2, before the Gunna’s luxuriate benchmark was put in place – an era in which Carti was still finding his footing in absurdist territory.When Gunna and Carti intermingle, the notion of musical authorship gets tossed out the window. They both bring their own stylistic underpinnings to the table, even though at times, Carti is hard to defend in a Binary World. Sadly enough, disguised experimentation like Carti’s personally-affect style, takes years to build as a whole.On “Same Yung N*gga” the focus is simple: Gunna plays the cheeky bugger who hides room key in an impossibly remote location, while Carti assures himself $50,000 on the back end, just in case it snows. On “Clout,” the 12th track on an album highly-apologetic in tone, Offset allows wife Cardi B a certain degree of “owner privileges,” for as long as it takes for him to even the score. An ever-so boisterous Cardi B challenges the devil-worshippers in the crowd to keep using her name in vain because, in the end, it’ll only deepen her pockets.On the other side of things, Offset makes “Clout” his very own confessional booth, albeit without conjuring any incriminating evidence from the past. When he raps, “Shorty DM me, I’m straight,” you get a sense he is A) repeating a self-emanating mantra B) remains unconvinced in his better judgment, and C) knows full well Cardi B is breathing down his neck. Offset added a layer of depth to the expressions like “lane switch” and “autopilot” after he survived a scary car accident with his life in his hands in 2018. Offset’s vocabulary now a differentiated level of gratitude, normally associate with MaMa Dukes. On his solo debut, Offset explores a genesis of ideas, which point to an insurrectionist moment taking place right before he got around to figuring out the song lyrics, and the enveloping idea of the whole project. Why else squander such a symbolically important first chance at the altar? I am most certainly referring to his prospects as a solo artist, not the cards he’s been dealt.Similar in nature to the choice he made in recruiting Big Rube on the album’s intro, CeeLo Green’s contributions to “North Star” help the insurgent rapper set an apologetic tone, once again. When CeeLo Green sings of the North Star for its intended purpose as a guiding light, it’s made all the more conceivable. The rapper dropped off his new song, “Soul” earlier today. Desiigner taps Benjamin Lasnier & Lukasbl for the hard-hitting production on the song while he continues to express his displeasure with his label situation.The release of “Soul” follows the double whammy he dropped last week, “Earned It” and his “Thotiana” remix. The remix to the Blueface record included another shot at Kanye West who he believes is “crazy” and not a genius. G-Eazy Calls On Blueface For New Song “West Coast”

It’s a “West Coast” connection when G-Eazy & Blueface link up.

Rising LA rapper Blueface has exploded onto the scene these past few months following the success of his single “Thotiana.” The record, which has reached No. 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, has seen several remixes thus far, including Nicki Minaj, YG, Cardi B, & Desiigner having all jumped on it. Looking to capitalize off his newfound fame & buzz, Blueface decides to return to the scene today by jumping on G-Eazy’s new song “West Coast.” It’s unclear if this will see life on Gerald’s next project or just something to hold us over with in the meantime, but either way we’ll take it.

Ludacris Assists Lil Donald On “#SayItTwice (Remix)”

Lil Donald & Ludacris link up on the remix of “#SayItTwice.”

It’s been quite a while since we heard music from Ludacris with the exception of his Atlanta Hawks song he created with Jermaine Dupri. The rapper’s been focused on other endeavors in film and television. He also beefed with Tekashi 6ix9ine but that was short-lived. The rapper announced in November that he’d drop off some new music in the future but we’ve yet to get any updates on it. However, Ludacris did recently link up with Lil Donald for the remix of “#SayItTwice.”Lil Donald is back with the remix of “#SayItTwice” with ATL legend Ludacris. The remix comes five months after he released the original. Lil Donald hops on the bouncy beat and Ludacris’ addition to the song fits perfectly. Luda’s animated flow stretches over the instrumental and adds a new vibe to the track.

Drake Remixes Summer Walker’s “Girls Need Love”

Drake & Summer Walker officially link up on a new remix.

A few weeks ago, Summer Walker performed “Girls Need Love” on Jimmy Kimmel’s late night show. Before that point though, she started picking up some major hype, earning co-signs from some of the most influential artists in the game. Today, it was announced that a remix of the track would be coming out, featuring none other than the biggest artist in the world: Drake. The Canadian talent gets a lot of flack from fans but at the end of the day, he’s been one of the most consistent, impactful artists of this generation. For him to remix your song is a big deal. iLoveMakonnen blew up right after the “Tuesday” remix dropped. Just think of what can happen to Summer Walker now.

The remix to “Girls Need Love” is officially out, as previously promised by the 6ix God. While it was only announced a few hours ago, fans have already been reacting to the news, wondering how their sounds would mesh. It turns out that they actually sound pretty beautiful together. Drake is experienced in this type of R&B vibe, so making his way onto this remix was only natural.
