R. Kelly also had to hand over his passport, so, that plays a factor.

R. Kelly is currently on bond after turning himself into police on Friday. The singer was charged with 10 counts of aggravated criminal sexual abuse. In wake of the allegations, a concert arena in Germany has ended their contract with the promoters of R. Kelly’s upcoming tour.

Ratiopharm Arena in Neu-Ulm took to Facebook to announce that they will not be hosting R. Kelly’s concert at their venues after he was arrested on sexual misconduct charges.

“Regarding the new and objective facts, we have decided to cancel the contract,” reads a statement on their Facebook page. “We regret the fans’ understandable disappointment and ask them to turn to the tour’s organizer” for reimbursement on tickets.

The arena already took down advertisements for the April 12th concert from Facebook yesterday (Jan. 25). 

According to Page Six, another German venue, which was supposed to host another concert with R. Kelly on April 14, said they tried to cancel the contract with the singer’s rep before Kelly was charged last week. Yesterday, they said they would try to get in contact with the singer’s team now that Kelly’s legal situation has changed. 

Kelly entered a not guilty plea yesterday on all 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse. As part of his bond, the singer was forced to surrender his passport.
