Pierre “Pee” Thomas is proud to present QC’s latest signee: Layton Greene.
The new signee celebrated putting pen to paper on her private Twitter account. “First R&B singer signed to QC, that’s major,” she posted via Twitter. “This shit feel like a dream.”
Quality Control’s co-founder Pierre “Pee” Thomas echoed the sentiment in a subsequent Instagram post announcing their partnership. The 20-year-old first hit pay dirt off the strength of a Kodak Black cover – her rendition of “Roll in Peace” garnering just under 15 million streams on SoundCloud, paving the way for tons of speculation over her future. Before her fate was sealed under the QC banner, Greene outlined her plans in a forthright interview with Billboard magazine.
“I hope to bring the game some new music, some integrity. I feel like the one thing a lot of artists lack is integrity,” she explained, while her “Roll in Peace” cover was just beginning to flare up. “I feel like they’re not honest with themselves. We don’t get a real sense of who they are through their music.”
Layton Greene joins a talented group of artists under Quality Control management, the likes of which include Lil Baby, City Girls, Lil Yachty, and last but not least, Migos, who joined the outfit at the onset of their careers.
