If you haven’t noticed by now, today happens to be a huge day for new music releases. Everyone from Gunna & Offset to Lil Pump & Kehlani have all released new projects today, and it’s only right we highlight a few tracks from them. With that said, we’ve decided to highlight one of Gunna’s standout tracks from his Drip Or Down 2 album, and that being called “Derek Fisher” with fellow Drip Harder rapper Lil Baby.

Coming off his Grammy nomination & win for “Best Rap Performance” for “Kings Dead,” TDE rapper Jay Rock decides to return to the scene today and share a new song called “The Other Side,” featuring Sacramento rapper Mozzy and DCMBR. The song looks to be an addition to last year’s Redemption album as it’s listed as track #15 now on iTunes.

The wait is over. After much anticipation, Offset finally released his solo debut today called Fatherof 4, which included a star-studded cast of features consisting of J. Cole, Cardi B, Travis Scott, 21 Savage, Quavo and many more. Smif-N-Wessun are just about ready to unveil their first full-length project since 2011, all in the spirit of new beginnings. If you’re are an ardent follower of the New York rap scene, you might recall hearing about the legal stipulation that led to them changing their name to the Cocoa Brovaz, albeit momentarily. The group released one album under the legal pseudonym before relapsing back into position.Smiff-N-Wessun owes it to their unending stream of fans to recreate the magic they displayed as pioneers of an epoch in which elements of Boom Bap and Dancehall/Reggae became suffused into one. But to their credit,  Tek and Steele have been able to muster the energy they had in 1995, even as the Patois signifier loses its shock appeal to the senses.On “Let Me Tell Ya,” the Duck Down veteran are met with an equally yearnful Rick Ross, himself a victim of circumstances (health) which have in turn derailed his career. Kehlani‘s upcoming While We Wait mixtape is set to arrive shortly. Now, the singer has come through with a new single, “RPG,” featuring the perpetually laid-back 6LACK. Taking to lovely, yet slightly melancholic production, Kehlani sets it off over a descending piano progression. Busta Rhymes Hops On Davido’s “Fall’ Remix With Prayah

Busta Rhymes joins the Afrobeats wave on the grandest scale.

One year after the fact, and 112 million streams later, Davido’s “Fall” has been re-released as a remix, and not through his own admission. Nope, that honor belongs to a legendary Brooklyn rapper with a predilection towards dialect.Busta Rhymes had been quite active on social media building hyping up the “Fall” remix, which includes himself, alongside Davido and his artist Prayah, signed to his DMW imprint under Sony Music. The label is also home to rising Afrobeats stars like Dremo and Mayorkun, who put pen to paper well before Prayah was thrust into his current push up the ranks.

News of the Busta Rhymes-assisted “Fall” remix is a welcome break to fans who’ve been enduring the long wait for his Dr. Dre-produced LP, which is apparently nearing completion, and wholly-produced by the one Dr. Dre. The “Fall” remix was submitted to Prayah’s YouTube channel in the beginning stages of his deployment.

Davido is fast becoming a household in America, in the most serendipitous circumstances. His father, a wealthy Nigerian business magnate, had Davido his spend the summers of his childhood in Atlanta, where the Afrobeats star was indeed born, before settling back in his native country.

Eric Bellinger Taps Chris Brown & OG Parker For “Type A Way”

On “Type A Way,” Eric Bellinger makes his intentions clear from the jump. Speaking to a potential love interest, Bellinger vows to “turn her to a fiend,” “make her scream,” and “call him zaddy.” Coming on strong is an understatement, but if it ain’t broke don’t fix it. Showcasing a strong sense of vocal control as he weaves into falsetto, Bellinger sets the tone for his upcoming opus Rebirth 2, not to be confused with Lil Wayne‘s bizzare, yet oddly trendsetting foray into “rock music.”

Chris Brown comes through for the second verse, holding with down with his signature sense of confident swagger. For a man as prolific as Breezy, he somehow manages to keep the quality relatively consistent. His effort here is no exception. “She gon’ make it disappear with the lights on, know my batting average, lay down on my mattress,” sings Brown. “I’m a pro, don’t need the practice.” All the while, OG Parker showcases his versatility, holding it down with a crisp, pop-friendly backdrop.

Lil Wayne & Lil Pump Bring The Bounce On “Be Like Me”

Lil Pump & Lil Wayne never asked to be role models.

It’s a veritable “Lil” fest on the latest Harverd Dropout single. Lil Pump and Lil Wayne may be separated by a vast stylistic canyon, but somehow, fate has brought them together. “Be Like Me” finds them taking to a bouncy instrumental, minimalist in its arrangement but ultimately prime to be destroyed by any capable emcee. As it happens, Pump offers up an admirable effort, though he admittedly hits cruise control for the most part. “Everybody want to be like Ye, And everybody wanna be like Ye, everybody wanna go and smash Kim K,” he raps. “You can talk shit about me everyday, but I’m still rich at the end of the day.”

Luckily, Wayne wastes little time in setting the course, galvanizing the track with an impressive verse. “You followin’ my lead, my chopper isn’t clean, and Lil Pump, he got the pump, I got the M-16,” spits Wayne. “My pockets stuffy, they gon’ need some antihistamine, n***s always bit the steez, the bitches never bit the D.” At the very least, Wayne’s flow constructs are dynamic, and while it doesn’t take much to steal the spotlight from Pump, the effort remains appreciated nevertheless.
