New Jack Swing – Mid-1980’s & The 90’s – Part 1

Towards the end of the 80’s and early 90’s, the New Jack Swing era brought with it an up-to-date R&B style alongside the Golden Age of the hip-hop industry, as well as the fashion in which people dress and house parties.

לקראת סוף שנות ה80 ותחילת שנות ה90 צמח עידן הNew Jack Swing שמביא איתו סגנון R&B עדכני לצד הGolden Age של תעשיית ההיפ הופ , כמו כן איתו הגיעה גם האופנה שבה אנשים מתלבשים וגם הפקת מסיבות בית למיניהם House Parties .

The style itself combines mainly types of dance, hip hop, pop and 808 sounds that accompany us to this day .

הסגנון עצמו משלב בעיקר סוגים של דאנס , היפ הופ , פופ וצלילי 808 שמלווים אותנו עד היום .

Teddy Riley, one of the greatest producers of all time who recently received a Life Achievement Award at the Soul Train Awards for 2016, was also the founder of R&B Group “Guy” that broke up in the mid-90s and then Blackstreet was resurrected.

מי שהביא את הסגנון הזה הוא Teddy Riley , אחד מהמפיקים הגדולים ביותר בכל הזמנים שקיבל לאחרונה פרס מפעל חיים בטקס הSoul Train לשנת 2016 , טדי היה גם המייסד של הרכבי האר אנד בי Guy שהתפרקו באמצע שנות ה90 ואז קמה לתחייה Blackstreet .

In the spirit of the same period, films such as House Party, CB4, Menace 2 Society, New Jack City etc. , and of course the parody film (which is also one of my favorites), unites all of these films to the Wayans brothers ‘film (Scary Movie , Little Man , White Chicks): Don’t Be Menace to South Centeral While Drinkin’ Your Juice in The Hood.

ברוח אותה התקופה יצאו סרטים כמו House Party, CB4 , Menace 2 Society, New Jack City וכו’ וכמובן סרט הפארודיה (שהוא גם אחד האהובים עליי) שמאחד את כל הסרטים האלו לסרט של האחים וויאנס : Don’t Be Meance to South Centeral While Drinkin’ Your Juice in The Hood .

Among the artists discovered at the time were Bobby Brown, BBD, New Edition, Boyz II Men, Jodeci, SWV, Johnny Kemp, Keith Sweat, Al B.Sure and many more.
